  • Community Service Awards.

For four decades, we've rolled out the red carpet for the people working hard to make our communities better. In that time, we've recognized 11 Who Care every year and presented more than $440,000 to their non-profits. More than $5,000,000 in dinner proceeds has benefited 40 non-profits through the years. The 2015 11Alive Community Service Awards dinner proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

We've also reached out to the entire Metro Atlanta community with our #Unselfie campaign. We're collecting stories of unselfish acts occurring all over our state and sharing them online, on air, and on social media under the hashtag #Unselfie. In 2014, those efforts made national headlines when the TODAY show picked up the movement. During the 2014 Community Service Awards, #Unselfie was a top trending topic in Atlanta. Often times, people ask us to share good news, and they embraced the chance to do it with us.

Next time I do anything wrong, I'm going to call it gamesmanship.

Speeding? Officer that was just gamesmanship, life is a race and I'm trying to win :mjpls:
