He basically said “She should have known better than to put herself in that situation.” like..regardless, people don't seem to understand that rape can happen in any circumstance. Like, I had too many women telling me about what happened to them and what not, and every time I asked what took them so long to come forward, it's either 2 things. The people they tell don't believe them (usually family and friends, it's worse when you personally know the rapist) or somehow, they always get blamed for it.
