but now they wanna complain THIS era like we didn't allow Ying-Yang Twins, Lil Jon, Nelly, Shop Boyz, Travis Porter, Bonecrusher, J Kwon, Chingy, etc to exist:heh:

"We" didnt allow shyt.. :sas2: Some ppl could see the writin on the wall then when most of that garbage started takin off. The south got their foot in the door nd pushed that movement. Now look what its spiraled into. :scusthov: There was certain aspects of some of those artists that was okay....Some beats knocked...Some songs were okay....but once nggas started goin too far to the left wit the goofy shyt...the pimp cups...the goofy new dances every month...the kindergarten hooks nd choruses....they started caricaturing themselves...in turn opening the floodgates to the cacs. :scusthov:

In the way we see it now absolutely.

These kids are 808s/So Far Gone kids bruh

You wouldn't have 808s without Cudi. You wouldn't have Drake without 808s/Cudi.

Cudi didn't invent emotion in hip hop no, but he brought the type of emotion that people in other genres felt whereas in hip hop(and black culture in general) there's a lot of hiding and suppressing certain feelings
Breh, you giving Kid Cudi far too much credit for being trash.

The game absolutley does not need Yachty like it needs Rakim:laff:

And rap has always been about fun, guess it just depends on what you consider fun....only way you woudnt find it fun is if you take it seriously,or are viewing hiphop from a outsiders perspective:mjpls:

If anything its been nothing but fun for long time....we still want fun,but just more nikkas like Migos and absolutley NO YACHTYs:martin:
I had to laugh when I read that

HipHop wasn't fun til Yachty blessed us :russ:

Outkast wasn't having fun? :ohhh:

nikkas literally equating fun with being trash... Hell Nelly was clearly having fun and was doing this hybrid style of rapping/harmonizing and singing better than damn near all these nikkas today.

"We" didnt allow shyt.. :sas2:

Their platinum & gold albums say otherwise:umad:

Some ppl could see the writin on the wall then when most of that garbage started takin off. The south got their foot in the door nd pushed that movement. Now look what its spiraled into. :scusthov:

So, why didn't we stop it?:sas1:

Oh yeah, we were too busy getting some twerk to Yung Joc and Dem Franchise Boys in the clubs:sas2:

There was certain aspects of some of those artists that was okay....Some beats knocked...Some songs were okay....

Sounds like today to me:mjpls:

Nope. We listened to it, we supported it, WE made Weezy the biggest rapper of the mid-late 2000s, WE gave Kanye a pass and supported him, WE had songs talking about doing "The Auntie Jackie", "My Lip Gloss is Poppin", "Chicken Noodle Soup with Soda on the side", WE made Waka Flocka who couldn't rap at all into a star....how we gonna talk down about music today?:sas2:

I get the Kanye hate, but Lil B is the father of all the trolling, intentionally weak shyt (with a little bit of quality mixed in). Heads on this site would never admit that tho, most of ya'll worship that nikka. :mjpls:
Everyone was from Rick Ross (during his crazy run at least) to Chief Keef to Asap Rocky were influenced by him. Underrated.

I made my point about Nelly in an earlier post. He was getting shytted on by the heads just the same

Again :mjlol:....we cut from a different cloth. Maybe u nd your homies where u from were snappin...buyin up those records gettin those nggas those plaques..:mjlol: Twerkin at the club :wrist:to the beats. A ngga like me wouldve been at the bar wit a drink nd some hoes laughin at u nggas but to each their own.:manny: Again...its not to say some classics didnt come out the south during that time but for the most part :trash:
Nd dunno why nggas keep tryin to include Weezy in that era during that time..he was flamin everything nd the only ngga keepin the south respectable wit TI Jeezy nd a few others.

No i was saying Migos wasnt wack, and we need more of them and less Yachty,i love migos:whoa:

And you dont think your being dishonest by acting like Yachty doesnt cover the same themes of fun, that rappers of today cover as "hiphop fun" u say we dont need...are you giving him more credit because his shyt sounds like a nursery rhymes?

"I know you want this for life
fukk you so good you be calling out to Christ
Bottles of the Tech got it laid on ice
We spent four seasons at the Four Seasons twice
You be calling all your homegirls like "I'm his wife"
Hell nah, you trippin', reevaluate your life
I can't love no bytch, every single hoe is trife
I sip dirty Sprite just to get me through the night
But I need you there
Promise that I need you there
Ain't no other bytch gon' fukk me like you do I swear
Put that on my gang I swear."

All bytches is trife:picard:,sippin dirty sprite to get thru the night:picard:?put that on my gang:picard:?
Misread your Migos comment

As far as Yacthy and fun being the same theme I won't even completely disagree with that but I still think he has a distinct style that is dope. My only problem with Yacthy is his voice :manny:

The issue is nikkas acting like Biz Markie or The Fat Boys never existed
