Im only 3 minutes in to the Lil Yachty and Budden interview.

Joe was just waiting to jump on the dude just because. Thats not fair. Its fuhked up.

I criticize these new dudes for their brand of rap, but its not my generation. I cant really hate.

My generation allowed people like Biz Markie and Ol Dirty to do unorthodox shyt without hate. So, I get the Yachty shyt.
CHiLL BREH:damn:

We know that if Just A Friend came out in 2017 it would be regarded as pure hip hop:troll:

The common denominator in all of this... is Kid Cudi.

You ask all these cats like Yachty who they idolized and checked out for the most, and they will all mention Kid Cudi. He was the guy during the time when these dudes were kids that showed them that they could be trash at singing, trash at rapping but make it in HipHop.

People regard Kid Cudi as a legend and he doesn't have a single quotable to his name. His emo stans will even say, "it's not always about lyricism... Kid Cudi helped me through rough times!"

Now fast forward years later and these same people shun acts like Yachty and Uzi

:mjlol:

Talk about hypocrites

:mjlol: @ anyone believing that this nikka really doesn't know if he's in a 360 deal or not.

Why would he answer that question in the position he's in? 360 deals are the big bad wolf in hiphop, anybody with common knowledge knows that... he's fukked by saying "yes" and he's fukked by saying "no" if it comes out that he's lying.

So he was just like, "I don't know" :yeshrug:

When really... he just didn't want to answer that question.

I think it's important to tell the whole story to what you touched on.

You're def right about Cudi's influence but there's also the other elephant

"Lil B is my fav rapper"

Lil B came in this bytch like the Joker and changed EVERYTHING

This needs to be the official :flabbynsick: thread where :flabbynsick: posters blow off steam about rap. That way they're not spamming the boards with the same posts and threads :flabbynsick:

This whole thread is ":flabbynsick: I blame _______"

":flabbynsick: Well I blame ______"

Lil B def did, but I just think Cudi had even a bigger impact. Lil B can rap when he feels like it. Kid Cudi can't, dude is only good for adlibs and saying O melodically... which a lot of these dudes are only trying to do now.

I get the Kanye hate, but Lil B is the father of all the trolling, intentionally weak shyt (with a little bit of quality mixed in). Heads on this site would never admit that tho, most of ya'll worship that nikka. :mjpls:

The oasis:wow:

I guess Lil B didnt ubderstand what influence he possessed coming from the bay, with great power comes great responsibility:mjcry:

Ain't no such thing as the culture. It died along time ago.

Blame people like Steve Toute and Russel Simmons. It turned into a commodity and black people are just workers in a factory called "rap" music.

I think that's downplaying Cudi overall. Cudi can't rap, Cudi can't sing but Cudi made people FEEL and ultimately that's all that really matters.

I'm not against Cudi bringing emotion to the game and subsequently Yacthy bringing fun because honestly the game needs Yacthy as much was it needs Rakim

It's been like 2 straight decades of too many nikkas acting way to hard taking themselves way too seriously. At some point in that nikkas deemed that fun in hip hop=not hip hop

I don't even like Yachty like that(I like the music but hate his voice) but the nikka is necessary.

What people REALLY don't want to acknowledge is that a lot of heads think Yacthy makes them look bad to white folks, like their constant fake serious mugging and posturing is any less ridiculous
