hip-hop/rap music opened the floodgates to the NERDS........... :scust:

They started lettin in dweeby type nggas that wouldn't have gotten so much as a look years ago.:manny: Now these nggas have tainted, poluted, and corrupted the culture.:scusthov: shyt...these types of nggas are runnin the asylum now. Yachty said it himself during the interview.... :manny: He don't give a fuk about the spirit of the music. He's here to influence weirdos nd make bands. A few years ago...he was a suburban ngga in a college dorm room broke nd wit no hoes. Now he makin millions...minglin with cacs nd promotin c00nery.:mjpls: He not invested in this like artists of the past. He cant be invested as much as a Nas, a Hov, LL, Weezy, etc. because he's not from the streets. :manny:
Nd ULTIMATELY...hip-hop is for the streets. He couldn't even relate to the food Buddens was tryin to feed him or understand his angle. Why??...Because he doesn't have a THAT sort of mentality. It was like speakin Chinese to a Mexican person. He lost awhile ago once he said he didn't know BIG? Thats somethin a cac would say. shyt....I dont even fuk wit half these new nggas but bein a fan of the culture...I could still spit a bunch of names off top. :jbhmm: Bout his business??? But didnt know what a 360 was? :hhh: The interview was over by default once he said that. These new nggas are just different man...non-competitive which hip-hop is based off (competition)...nd lost.:francis: Would one of you young-different nggas please explain to me the disconnect you goofys have? :scust:
See fans do this shyt where we say "oh man yachty uzi carti dex is bad for the culture" then turn around and shyt on Kendrick Cole and others for making music that is truly for the culture. I don't get it. What exactly does the hip-hop community want? We waiting on Jesus? Still waiting on that Nas album? I don't like this mumbly uninformed bullshyt that's hot but how long until we actually get up and make the change? The consumer is the most important part of a business.

The hoes were twerkin :ehh:...but their hoes...what difference does a hoe know? I could hit the block right now in a 06' Benz nd a hoe would think it was some new shyt nd her panties would get wet :rudy:. Secondly cacs dictate the charts...nggas were already buyin mixtapes by then so what would it matter about the top 40 or what CDs nggas were buyin. The culture was already shiftin by that point.

I got you, I remember it.

I'm just saying... the skill gap between "fun" hiphop then compared to Yachty is still significant. Nelly >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kid Cudi, Yachty etc

We can agree on that right?
Its not THAT significant tbh

And part of what you just said stems back to the disconnect between generations in hip hop(and black culture for that matter)

I've been around many cultures in regards to American music and the common denomator in a lot of genres is that the kids did some kind of homework(indirectly) in regards to their predecessors

Hip hop attacks its children, in turn the children lash out. There are also no mediums(think classic rock stations)to show these kids anything but what they've gotten from their friends

DJ Paul said it best when he said "I feel bad for these kids cause we were sampling Willie Hutch and Curtis Mayfield and they're just sampling us"

Would these kids be better rappers(a lot of them ain't THAT bad tho) if they knew their past? Absolutely. But because of the disconnect between the indignant youth and the bitter ass old heads the knowledge doesn't get passed.

Dope shyt is dope shyt. But if nobody knows about it how can you find out its dope?

I saw some middle school kids in the store rapping fukk The Police verbatim a few months ago bruh. If the mediums develop the cream will always rise:yeshrug:

In this growth of hip hop media we're experiencing mediums that bridge the gap are a top priority. That's why I feel like this Joe/Yacthy interview even happening was great for the culture

And Nelly is a better rapper than Cudi, but Nelly does not make better music than Cudi. Man On The Moon>>>>Any album Nelly has ever made

Nerds only use the internet? :hhh:
Nah, but the main demographic of nikkas on internet rap forums (including myself) would be considered "nerds", compared to nikkas that live a street lifestyle

On topic with the thread, Lil' Yatchty's success doesn't have aby significant bearing on rap, nor does it impede any other artists from getting on. You're basically complaining about nothing

:gucci:....ngga its 2017....quit livin in a box. Any nd everyone can be on the internet. Nd Lil Yachtys success doesnt have any bearing on rap?...nor does it impede any other artists from getting on you say?...Interesting. :jbhmm: Especially when Yachty capitalizes off rap culture. Im pretty sure cacs would impede traditional artists from getting on as well if they know they can continue to make bank off the image nd c00nery Lil Boat presents to the public. But Im just thinkin logically...what do I know my g....:manny:

We need to create a new genre of music where actual instrument talent is needed to keep these weirdos out cause we all know they don't have the attention span to learn anything.
