i feel there has to be a decent mix of storytelling. some can be long like over months, others can be short, like from one ppv to the next. the random matches could be ok as long as they lead to something in the future. but those are tricky. and those are best for rampage only not no collision or especially dynamite. every story has to start somewhere, just a matter of how they play it out.

Everyone knows RJ City has been the one directly attributed to Toni and Mariah, not TK.

The hangman shyt who knows, probably isn’t TK either from the looks of it.

No one is ever gonna defend TK as a good week to week booker so that's just a weird pivot in the argument :heh:

Here's an example: It seems clear now that a lot of people have time off following 'All In' and 'All Out' but they didn't do much to explain why most of these people are off the road so everyone is again left speculating. It reminds me of all the weeks of 'Dynamite' where you're not sure who will be on the show or off the show.

I hate to bring WWE into it because any comparison brings out stannery but you know for the most part that when you attend RAW, you are getting a heavy dose of Priest, Liv Morgan, Rhea, Drew etc.

On SD! you know you're getting Bloodline activity and Cody. I'd say Roman and Punk are the outliers but they usually do a nice job of announcing ahead of time if they will be on the shows or not.

Becky Lynch they wrote off basically and everyone knew she was going to be gone a while. It's not perfect, I think there was a SD! a couple weeks ago where Bianca/Jade only appeared in a backstage segment so that sucks for the live crowd but week in and week out you still know what's going on.

I was just replying to Brad waving off AEW's long term stories because they aren't TK's ideas. It's two different things, the company does have a lot of long term stuff but I don't think anyone that likes AEW -and isn't a blind stan- will defend Tony as a good week to week booker, he's down right bad the majority of the time.

He's certainly not a great booker week to week... people just try to make it seem worse than it really is. I've seen people try to compare his booking to 2000 WCW and they have nothing in common. Literally nothing in common lol.

The people who say "AEW tells no stories" are as bad as the people who think TK is a genius booker deserving of the Wrestling Observer accolades

No way they are able to get to 10k like I thought they might've when they first booked the Tacoma Dome.

Not having a Swerve match already announced and the unnecessarily weird booking of Danielson's title reign ain't help one bit though :francis:

PS: Grand Slam is at 5.5k, I wonder if they are able to comp enough tickets to make it 7k at least by bell time.

Tickets will go down as the event comes closer and walkups always give that extra kick. I can see them getting 7k paid as the day comes. It’s NY. (Same can be said about WD getting more sales as it comes closer.)

I would guess they move about 1K or so over the next few days

Still 3 big Dynamite episodes to go so hopefully they get a decent push for the ppv. Especially if Swerve returns this week. Will have to see if there's any GS updates tomorrow morning. The cheapest seats are $25 so that's not too bad. Dropping all of them a few bucks could prolly help.

Once GS is over, I can see that happening. It's a crucial episode to start the run to the ppv and it could have an impact on ppv sales.

Sorry I meant GS itself I would expect to move about 1K or so within the next few days. That's usually the case and it's NYC. I think the PPV will definitely get to that 7K mark, how much over 7K will depend on what the card is
