It could be Darby vs Ospreay, or vs Omega. My point is you don't need a big heel for him to overcome and make his title win feel big. And I think that's why Moxley was able to get into TK's plans and get away with his bs.

And why would we have to endure a Mox title reign in any ideal scenario? :dwillhuh:

It’s gonna be Okada/Omega at All In. They teased it, not even subtlety, at World’s End. Os/Darby is a good choice as a match, but there’s no connection to build it up. They’re gonna run the whole face/face “let’s have a good match but let’s tease who’s a heel” shyt people complain about? They can’t really do that for their biggest show of the year. :mjlol:

The 'Grand Slam' in Australia thing didn't make a whole lot of sense from the beginning. They claimed that they would go to a different part of Australia that was more populated than where WWE went.... WWE's tickets didn't even sell like gangbusters the way you'd expect.

So why on earth would they think they could do any better? They had to know it was going to be a tough sell.

From a PPV perspective, it makes zero sense for it not to be a PPV... Making it a TV special when it has to air on tape delay is idiotic.

WWE’s problem is they went to the mostly barren western half of Australia. There’s only like one major city out there.

One of AEW’s problem is they went to the most remote of the major east coast cities. It’s like a 12-hour drive from the next closest major city.

The show would be airing at like 3 am east coast time. The buy rate would be dreadful.

Yes, if you wanna "solve" things in February 2025 it is too late. Nothing I was talking about was from that POV. I was pointing out the mistake of having to "build up a new massive heel for Darby" 4 months ago, when that was not necessary.

To me, it is too late to make Darby the one to win the title at All In regardless. Waiting till July for a payoff people will at best receive as an annoyed "fukking finally" is not worth it. But again, I wasn't talking about that.

EDIT: And regarding the complaining part. Who cares? no matter what booking decision anyone takes, there's gonna be a group of people that will shyt on it because they disagree with it or because they just want to troll. I guarantee you there's gonna be people complaining about Omega vs Okada and it shouldn't matter (hell, it wont matter) because going back to that match is a smart booking choice, for once.

That sounds like a made up quote it's so ridiculous :russ:

But if Jacobs truly said that in an interview, it still sounds like the most carny "lets work the fans" kind of quote possible.

:dead: at TK driving to shows more than 30 minutes considering all the shyt he has to do on a daily basis and all the air miles he has. I remember when Danielson tried Jacobs job for a week he said he hated being on a plane so much :mjlol:

I know what you’re talking about, but crowning Darby then means we deal with Mox now. Mox doing this character was inevitable. We’d have to deal with it no matter what. TK dumbass shoulda just told Darby to sit his ass down and win now. The mu fukka can climb Everest next year, or the year after that.

I don’t think it’s too late for Darby to be crowned in July. He’s over and not the type to suffer from “pull the trigger at this moment.” The only problem is extending this Death Riders shyt that no one is feeling. That’s why TK should pivot and give Os a run and even a short term feud with Mox/DR. Os will have good ass matches with Claudio and Pac leading up to a match with Mox. It’s something that’s at least better than Edge. And you have. Christian in the cut; Even Os/Christian as a mini-feud is better than more Edge/Mox or Edge/Christian again.

That's were we disagree. For Mox's current run to happen, he had to convince TK he could "elevate" Darby more than anyone else by doing this horrible Death Riders angle. If Darby becomes champ before Mox, that means Tony wasn't convinced and who knows what Moxley is doing right now. It's whole new "what if" scenario.

Danielson was partly to blame because he viewed Mox as a viable guy to "put him on the shelf" basically.. If Danielson says "nah, let's just do Darby now" then I'm sure TK would have listened.
