Idk what GCW is bro. But if the AEW name is purchased by somebody and ran as basically an internet indy like happened with TNA, then I will not consider it still alive. If Tony Khan is still running it and it's doing shows in arenas and holding PPVs, it's still alive.

If going from 1000 to 4000 in attendance for within a year for a company's biggest PPV is considered "dead", I don't wanna know what alive means. If the Khans haven't given up on treadmill ass Fulham who have been relegated to second division 3 times in the 11 years they've owned it, I doubt Tony will sell to fukking Rumble or cut funding ala AOL/Time Warner

If you know people are wanting to get cut and get out of your company, why continue to pay them six figures or more annually to be unhappy and do nothing? Rusev and Malakai Black won’t help WWE get any hotter and if anything passing off malcontents to the other company could benefit you doubly

That was Vince being a controlling vindictive a$$hole plus back in the heart of those times they were paranoid about anybody going to AEW and getting momentum, which is why guys like Hawkins and Ryder were getting mid 6 figures to sit in catering and make YouTube videos until the pandemic came and they needed to clear salary off the books.

Tony being vindictive isn’t a good look for talent or fans at a time they are cold, plus as I said there ain’t a single guy they could release that would go and do anything major of note for WWE. If anything it might show the AEW roster that the grass isn’t always greener if those guys go back to WWE and are in the same positions they were in before
