Final Fantasy X undid the death of the main character in the sequel.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 undid the death of the main character in the sequel

The only real notable deaths that stuck in that series in modern history are VII and XV and one of the two the deaths in XV was the last thing that happened in the game that was only gonna be one game in it's universe.

Beat part 4 finally, true ending was nice...the final battles were pretty easy no real threat of wiping( playing on hard) still gonna miss this great series... great ending but obviously ouroboros gonna keep causing chaos in the next games and am all for it

Just beat Trails of Cold Steel on to Cold Steel 2 game started slow but what an ending. Easily my fav JRPG since Final Fantasy 3 on SNES. feels like a real ass anime I know people liked Persona 5 but that shyt was goofy as fukk, I'm digging this.

Yes, we have two games coming out next year. Trails to azure 2023 spring, and Trails into Reverie probably in the fall.

Looks like Cold Steel I and II will be on sale digitally. Time to get them again for the 3rd time. Kinda bummed that II isn't fully playable on the PS5 last I heard but I still own a PS4 Pro.
