I'm trying to find copies of the Trails In The Sky, was it ever released physically in the states ?
And if it was, am I too late ?
I wanted to cop all of the games in this series and start going down the rabbit hole.
The the first one trails of the sky psp was physical, the next two were release on pc for the states.
Best option it get on pc, or use a psp emulator they're are english patches available for all the games that did not reach the states

I guess im going to hold off on iv till I beat trails, and ao,:shaq2:
Its either play them or YouTube it all but at this point the plot points for everything has become intermingled. I just finished the prologue and it's back to more Cold Steel stuff now at the moment.

I'm about 60 hours into Cold Steel IV and it's been aight. It's an average Trails game. It doesn't meet the hype of being the (mostly) end of the Cold Steel arc. The middle portion of the game stalls out the plot and goes off tangent. The whole curse plot is meh. The game should have been better than what it was but it's also not bad if you like these games.

From a plot stand point in these 60 hours very little of consequence has happened.

This series would have been way better if the first game was shortened and the second merged into it then 3 and 4 merged together as well. The pacing could have drastically improved. Most of this game feels like decent filler padding.

I just beat this and the plot subtly goes off the deep end at the very end. I got the True Ending. Took about 112 hours in total to beat. They finally gave us a glimpse of the
grandmaster of Ouroboros
too. Bad part is in typical Trails fashion they tease you with some wild stuff but the game doesn't really go into too many details about it.

NGL I'm finding it hard to get through the Trails in the Sky SC. I think I burnt myself out doing Cold Steel, Cold Steel 2, and the first Trails back to back. I no longer really care for playing through all of them now. :mjcry:

Never a good idea to play multiple Trails games too close together. I did that with Zero and Ao and it was too much. These games are too heavily structured and follow similar story beats between them. Playing multiple ones back to back it will wear on you.

III took me about 100 hours and IV took me about 120 so if you return to it I would space them apart.

I think I'm just going to say fukk it and just focus on Cold Steel. Maybe later on I'll finish the sky and zero but probably not knowing my ass.

Cold Steel IV has a lot of fan service for people that played the Crossbell and Sky games. I wouldn't call it required but it is more impactful if you've played those games. There's a whole section at the end of act 2 that's a fan service orgasm. For longtime fans who followed the series from the beginning it was a dream come true. It's like the Captain America Avengers Assemble moment at the end of Endgame. If you were around for the MCU in its entirety your appreciation for that moment is totally different than if you skipped all the other movies and just cut to the end.

I'm not gonna say don't do it but it completely changes the impact when you don't really know who these people are and you have these scenes that are on the long side and help cap off their character development.

I currently going through Cold Steele 2 great game to play since PS5 Royal left me spoiled quality. I agree it’s not a good idea to marathon these :francis:

I copped pt2 right after I beat the first and probably played 5-6 hours and dropped it, I wasn’t trying to run it back

They got the psp games coming to steam in 2021 after 4 comes out.

Doesn't look like they will be localizing it though. I know one of them has a really good fanpatch at least

I'd play the crossbell games again if they localized them. Hopefully they do because it's a disservice to the fanbase to have them playing CSIV and eventually Hajimari (which is said to be more crossbell focused than anything) without those 2 games officially localized.

There's an extra cutscene where they show the grandmaster talking to the fool and a few of the remaining anguis. I think you have to reload the save on the true ending after the final battle. Here it is. I wouldn't watch this on your main YouTube account.

This is the first time the grandmaster is physically shown and heard speaking. You still don't get enough to figure out who it is but they drop a bomb at the end. It suggests Oroburos goal isn't necessarily bad.

Technically anyone could watch this but it does spoil the endgame allegiance and status of some characters from IV. Nothing past that.
