I believe that they are splitting the second game. Season 2 will cover the first half of TLOU2, and Season 3 will cover the second half of TLOU2 approximately.
There is no third Last of Us game in development right now. If there ends up being a TLOU3, it probably won't come out for another 5-10 years.

I think that your sentiment is valid. I'm in a similar boat (I'm neutral and just seeing how things play out).
Anyway, Abby didn't cause the main horde that attacked Jackson. That horde was caused accidentally by the guy who was clearing out the pipes with the pickaxe. That alerted basically the entire horde to swarm Jackson.

Joel gives his coat to Dina to make her warm, which is something that's there to show hard headed people like you that Dina's well being was Joel's first goal out of this thing.
He then goes directly to the window to see what's going on in Jackson and tells the group to strap up, get blankets and get ready to leave in 3 minutes. How in the name of fukk you took that and thought "Joel knows thinks he's gonna hang out , chill and get comfortable in this log cabin with a bunch of fukking strangers".
Abby has her hat on and a blanket and tells Joel her name, he then literally gives her the "" because he doesn't give a fukk, TURNS AROUND (so he doesn't see Abby anymore) and calls Jackson for a response on the walkie talkie.
THEN Abby tells the gang Joel's name and takes the blanket off and. Then Dina gets used as bargain chip and we get the ensuing scene....
How, how is that bad writing under any measure?
It’s bad riding on multiple levels
1. When the weather started to so-called get cold/bad, Dina should have told Joel let’s head back to Jackson. We don’t even see that
2. while ridding on the horse and hearing the humongous explosion, you can actually see Jackson from downhill … that distance couldn’t have been more than a 10 minute ride.
3. and based off the first iteration of the game/show one of the main premises is to trust absolute no one so why the hell with Joel agreed to go inna house full of strangers/unknowns
I mean, let’s be real. This shyt is ridiculous. They try to make the weather/cold a major part of the story but it just doesn’t add up.
One minute it’s looks terrible. The next minute Abby a 5’-2” 100 pounds soaking wet girl is sliding down hills climbing down mountains to be chased by a bunch of infected then the minute that Joe shots one in the head, saving her life … now all of a sudden the weather is the issue

If he wrote this show it would have been a two paragraph script. Most of that shyt would be him describing the bodega Joel is hiding in until he eventually dies of old age, alone and silent. No need for any other characters to have lines because they’re all too cripplingly paranoid to interact with anyone ever again lmaoooo.
