I just don’t understand the people who rock or stand with Abby ….. conveniently leave out the fact that her father was in the process of killing a 13 or 14 year old girl without any consent
Because some ppl think it wouldve been ok to kill the girl if it meant reversing the apocalypse. 1 death to save all of humanity.

Also some ppl also think Joel did the wrong thing and Ellie wouldve been ok with dying if it meant she could be the cure. Some ppl use the fact that joel lied to Elle about what happened as evidence she wouldve been ok with dying for the cure and wouldve looked at what Joel did was wrong.

I don't "stan" anyone. The entire point of The Last of Us is that no one in this situation is 100% right or 100% wrong. Almost everyone in this post-apocalyptic world is morally gray.

Also, people who "stan" Joel conveniently forget that he was a serial murderer for years before, during, and after he met Ellie. He has killed dozens of people in brutal ways to get what he wanted.

:manny:

Not sure if the entire point is the situation is 100% right or 100% wrong
I personally believe it’s 100% wrong for a militia crew to take the life of a 14-year-old girl with no consent

As far as Joel - I don’t think people condone his so-called dirty dark past …. The fact is we never seen it. We only heard through vague conversations about it. I’m pretty much sure he wasn’t on some crazy path where he was harming hurting or killing innocent bystanders.

OK, and that's your opinion and perspective. Other people have a different one.

Joel has definitely killed innocent people before lol.

Well to play devils advocate....

Abby grew up with those fireflies, they are her friends and family. Shes fully brought into the idea that the fireflies are the good guys because thats all she knows, she was born into this. She also sees her dad who is trying to save the world and he's probably her personal hero.

its been a while since I've played but I believe even she questions if killing Ellie is the right thing to do, but understands its for the greater good

Then a smuggler who was supposed to drop off a girl kills literally everyone. She doesn't know Joel's relationship to Ellie or even care at that point, he's just a dude who killed her family and friends. She was 10000% valid in wanting Joel dead.

From your perspective you see the fireflies and even that doctor as nameless nobodies and Ellie's life is more important. But thats not the only perspective...

I don’t know what to tell you
Playing devils advocate, or not in my humble opinion

Abby shouldn’t be mad at Joel
Abby should be mad at her friends, family, and dad for trying to take the life of a 14 year old girl with no consent … post apocalypse or not

You can't be serious with that... :mjlol:

Abby should blame her friends and family for getting killed by a guy who their perspective was just some smuggler/ex-raider?

Even Ellie doesn't believe that deep down...

“If somehow the Lord gave me a second chance at that moment… I would do it all over again. I was supposed to die in that hospital. My life would have fukking mattered.”

Even Ellie herself as an adult is saying she wishes she could have sacrificed herself for a chance at a cure. Literally the only person who thinks Joel did the right thing is Joel lol. The entire world is justified in being pissed at Joel, thats the point. He choose a single girl over the lives of everyone else because he didnt want to go through losing another kid. Its supposed to be an insanely selfish act, he's not the good guy here, which is why the game goes through so many lengths to show you the other side of it.

In this world, there are no good guys. Even the person who you thought was a hero in part 1, looks like the devil from the perspective of others. I don't think you understand whats happening in this story.

Come on man.

well, those people would be incredibly misinformed
Because there is no way to reverse a post apocalypse world … in the best case scenario if it came up with a cure or vaccine from her, it only probably would be able to be used on a person who just got infected

and as far as Joel and Ellie situation goes … Ellie is under age/minor which gives her no right to make a decision on her own life
And it’s pretty much a moot point by saying or believing she was OK with it , because Marlene, Abby‘s father and all the rest of the fireflies didn’t even ask her nor tell her that they was going to take her life away … which pretty much makes all of them pieces of shyt and I really question anybody who can be team Abby at this point
