:snoop:

come on now you damn sure know that is bullshyt
abby‘s father, who’s part of the fireflies which was nothing more than a typical malicious group that did a whole Lotta bad shyt
and it’s no telling that even if he was able to come up with a vaccine how they would treat that amongst everybody who was or wasn’t part of their group

It almost sounds like a lawless land filled with people doing whatever they want and paying the consequences for it :jbhmm:

Don't understand the defending of Abby

Joel killed someone who was attempting to take the life of a child who he started to care for as his daughter.

And he gave that person a quick death

And he saved Abbys life.

I wonder how the TV audience feels about Abby

They definitely don’t want people to hate Abby. It’s the opposite.

she’s just as important to the game as Ellie. And she’s likely going to be the franchise lead going forward. Having her being hated as a character hurts them for future games.
i never played the game, im just guessing. im not clicking your spoilers. someone is going to try to use them against me, then ill be banned for a game i didn't play.

ill just dap you and say OK

Because this isn’t the real world or a world similar to our own. It’s one where raiders and all kinds of dangerous people exist without rule or penalty.

the sacrifice of one girl isn’t a big ethical conundrum to deal with. Restoring order to the world is the entire reason some people found to keep living. It’s really not even that hard to comprehend, gangs exist in our current world.

if you go out and kill someones father there’s nothing stopping one of their kids from running up on you. Thats NOW with the repercussions of the law in place

And usually when someone has a family member murdered, your reasoning for doing it won’t matter much to them

Yeah but Abby's sole reason to kill Joel is just to take revenge. Nothing more.

She tortured Joel to death because he killed her dad, not some doctor who was trying to save the world.

I just don’t understand the people who rock or stand with Abby ….. conveniently leave out the fact that her father was in the process of killing a 13 or 14 year old girl without any consent

Well to play devils advocate....

Abby grew up with those fireflies, they are her friends and family. Shes fully brought into the idea that the fireflies are the good guys because thats all she knows, she was born into this. She also sees her dad who is trying to save the world and he's probably her personal hero.

its been a while since I've played but I believe even she questions if killing Ellie is the right thing to do, but understands its for the greater good

Then a smuggler who was supposed to drop off a girl kills literally everyone. She doesn't know Joel's relationship to Ellie or even care at that point, he's just a dude who killed her family and friends. She was 10000% valid in wanting Joel dead.

From your perspective you see the fireflies and even that doctor as nameless nobodies and Ellie's life is more important. But thats not the only perspective...
