I wonder if they gonna drop the whole thing about Abby being one of the best soldiers in WLF. I just don’t see it with this girl.

Exactly. They can’t sell that. She has no commanding presence or her team like Abby does in the game. They should remove that aspect completely.

Neil popped a lot of shyt about how “yall mad? Stay mad. I’m not changing shyt because it’s perfect” originally….to a huge point of contention regarding character writing being changed because they DID in fact see how ridiculous it was for Joel to give out all that info in the game.

I said a long time ago that I BET they change it if they do Part 2 in the show so I dunno why they were acting so indignant in the first place. They couldn’t handle any criticism back then.

In episode 1 someone (can’t remember who said what) in Abby’s crew was about to mention someone being immune but they got cut off by someone else on some ‘it’s not possible”. So I think the entire team has at least heard rumor of it but may not know the specifics

I don’t get the negan/glen comparisons. The main backlash from negan/glen was because they handled Glenn dying the worst way possible. You know negan is beating someone to death, you hear screams from the rest of the gang reacting and see the blood running down someone’s face, but you don’t know who is being killed and the season ends. Then you don’t find out who is killed til the next season.

The only way the Joel Abby scene would be comparable is if they ended the season with Abby in a room with Joel Ellie Dina Tommy and we hear her beating someone to death and we don’t find out who til season 3.

Abby killed Joel, ain’t no redemption for her to the viewers who watched for Joel. All the shyt AMC did above played a major role in ppl turning on the show, that is on top of them pumpfaking Glenn getting killed earlier in the season with the dumpster scene.

The backlash with Glen and Negan happened in the episode Negan killed Glen in. What are you talking about?


It was the most watched episode of the show up to that point.

The brutality, hopelessness and darkness of Glen’s death, a fan favorite turned viewers OFF. There had been NOTHING like it in the show. Even the actors said they went way too far with it.

They had to tone it down with this show because the show will clearly still follow Abby. The Walking Dead did that with Negan and the ratings kept dropping.

So for that reason alone. Joel was justified.

Only thing they missed was the SPIT on his body after the mexican guy calls him Pendejo

Wanted to show that the group wasn’t as committed to killing him as Abby was.

Ultimately trying to build up our sympathy for when Ellie goes mode on em.
