He let people know about the crunching and work conditions of ND so he's not biased towards them or trying to cover for them.

He been critiqued for covering and being too close to the industry, before...

Again, this is guy who's leaked the info about plenty of games--not the whole plot, but, all of a sudden he is making sure we know he didn't watch it.

Again, I believe it, but, not just because Jason Schreiers said so, I just read what the other tweets said in detail.

Lemme dump this here;

YouTubers are making the same mistake video game devs are, staying in a place to where they continue to be a abused and just complaining. YTs are scared shytless of copyright claims and shake their fists to the heavens.

And it's funny, big and small issues, they make themselves martyrs to their viewers...instead of dealing with Daddy YouTube. And I say Daddy, because this reminds me of when I thought my father treated me unfair when I got punished for it.

Yes, there's a legal precedent for talking about info you're not supposed. Negative or positive they have an incentive to stop you--that's why there's review embargos.

I'm at YouTube "Creators" now covering the leaks and most of them are daring ND to strike them.

If a strike was the kiss of death, then YouTubers wouldn't dare push the line the way they are covering it (Eric July, Angry Joe, etc.).

The "creators" got the strike, and immediately made videos like their channel were in the process of closing. They get struck all the time and their channels are fine.

Should they do it? I don't know. Can they do it and do I see why they did it? Yes.

Too many of these dude sit in front of a camera and talk about the actual shyt people create and bytch about "copyright law" when they've never created something that would have to to "copyright."

They get permission to make money on another companies platform.

I don't remember killing Nathan as Rafe in UC4.

Said it before and I'll stand by it; you didn't have to revisit Ellie & Joel here when you consider how many stories could have potentially been told independent of that pair. The TLOU universe had so much potential and with a little brain power, could have focused on an entirely different protagonist and still managed to have its' cake by referencing Ellie & Joel in the narrative, be it a cameo, a mention of the rumor of a girl thats immune/a cure, a flashback from a different perspective, or anything in between.


They'd have ben better off centering the game around Abby ENTIRELY from the jump. Yeah, most of the dedicated fans would have been able to decipher the plot twist from the beginning in face of even the most creative writing (plot twist being that the villains in her tragedy are Joel & Ellie) but it would have been a lot easier to digest than the halfhearted p*ssyfooting they pulled here. Either go all the way in a new direction or stick with the original protagonist & pay your little fanservice. It looks pretty bad on paper and between the constant delays and these bizarre creative decisions, I really couldn't care less about this one at the moment. My hype was on life support two months ago, but it's flatlined completely right about now. I'll definitely play it when it's discounted, but pay full price?

I'm good on that.

That’s what everybody been saying since the sequel got announced, have Joel and Ellie’s story conclude in the first game and set up new protagonists in the next one and so on.

Why are journalists and YouTubers running interference for ND? A hack? There's Dev kit footage running. They would have had to have been an employee at some point to even have that.

I have no issue Joel dead I mean we all had a feeling he would but not that way and almost 50% of the game is me playing as a character I don’t give a shyt about killing the iconic hero from the 1st game nah I’m good i won’t be buying this but imma keep my ear out

Who said this was going to flop? The general public doesn't even know of the leaks or browse gaming websites or forums. Twitter is used by a very small percentage of Americans. The game is going to move units. Naughty Dog is going to make millions despite the high turnover rate during this project and that was before the leak. The reviews will be interesting. Given how narrative heavy ND is, they can't get a pass for a bad plot.

This game is gonna sell very well I expect record breaking numbers Once people play the full game people gonna attack ND I see a transformers movie type game
Transformers makes a billion dollars in the box office all the time but the movies end up shyt
