"Joelytes, it is time for the annual pilgrimage to Jackson, to honor our fallen father we must also figure out how to stop Abby from getting in the sequel. Be sure to bring drafts of your death threats for us to review"
I rock(ed) with Joel but goddamn honestly I've come to fw Abby and Ellie more
Another hint at the ending. if you check her journal before going to the guitar, you will see there are drawings of Dina and Joel.Something I read recently that I didn’t pick up on myself when playing, when you return to the farm at the end, it’s impossible to have Ellie look at herself in any of the bathroom mirrors as she looks away
I wish there was more dialogue between Ellie and Abby. Did Ellie ever learn who Abby was and who her father was?
They made Ellie too stupid to ask. That could've saved her fingers.I wish there was more dialogue between Ellie and Abby. Did Ellie ever learn who Abby was and who her father was?
They missed out on that extra layer of guilt that would add to Ellie. She wouldve felt directly responsible for getting Abby’s pops killed and that would’ve made her decision at the end make more sense. Ellie doesnt seem mature enough to come to the conclusion that revenge isnt worth it without killing Abby. She has murdered hundreds of strangers and dogs and damn near the entire city of Seattle just to avenge one man. She even kills an entire new group “the rattlers” trying to get to Abby. Theres no connection between them to make me believe that Ellie would have a sudden change of heart especially when Abby just keeps giving her more reasons to be dead. She murks Joel and Jessie. Cripples Tommy for life and causes brain damage. Slams Dina’s face into the ground before nearly slicing her throat until Lev stopped her. Breaks Ellie’s arm the first time beating her senseless and then bites two of her fingers off which causes Ellie to lose the one connection she had to Joel in the guitar. It wouldve been dope as the gamer to go through hell and back kill Abby and then realize it isnt bringing Joel back, it doesnt repair her relationship with him before he died,Jessie lost his life, Dina and the family left you and you come back and cant even play the guitar and also lost another part of Joel again. Was it worth it? Not saying Ellie couldnt or wouldnt come to the decision she did in the end it just didnt feel like she had a natural progression to that decision. Especially since we only play with her for half the game. They made Ellie to stupid to ask. That could've saved her fingers.

Peep how she disarmed with the knife. That's a nice addition
