@kingofnyc STILL in here talking? God damn I purposefully left the coli for a few days and nothing has changed
I actually disagree, never in the game is it implied that Abby was haunted by her decision to kill Joel. Abby didn't give a fukk about him or Ellie for that matter. I think the main regret Abby had was being so loyal to the Wolves and abandoning her and her dad's mission with the Fireflies.
I think that realization hit her when saw that all Scars aren't necessarily bad people and how fast the Wolves were ready to throw her into the bushes for sneaking out to save Owen. But never did she had remorse for Joel.
you didn’t win anything, Everybody has answered your question at least once, and everybody has realised you’re either a troll or just slow
Every single day in this thread without fail..
“Does Abbys father have the right yes or no?”
probably really look like this too...no nose or nothing...damn shame
It's not implied, its flat out stated that it messed with her a bit...
They talk about what happened in Jackson several times throughout the game. Abby even tells Mel that she can't sleep since it happened.
How is Marlene not Ellie's guardian?
Anna's words:
From the comic that happened a YEAR before the game, not a month:
If I’m slow ...
answer a simple yes or no question
We been responding to your dumbass questions for over a week now like everybody else in here...fukk outta here brehIf I’m slow .... then y’all nikkaz are retarded
y’all too p*ssy to answer a simple yes or no question
that’s why I give respect for @5n0man even tho, we disagree on the game
he the only one that man enough to tell the truth (Abby father doesn’t have that right to take a 14 year old life)
now if you want to go to the Jack Nicholson route of ‘you can’t handle the truth’ .... as he had to make a harsh decision for the overall betterment of humanity - I have absolutely no problem with that
And for the record I have nothing personally against y’all
y’all paid for the game & loved the game .... good for y’all
I just have a different opinion about Abby...in my opinion doesn’t have the right for revenge because her father was going to take someone’s else’s life
u can’t have revenge on someone who is defending themselves
I mean are we really going to go down this rabbit hole
this is the definition of a guardian
- a person who looks after and is legally responsible for someone who is unable to manage their own affairs, especially an incompetent or disabled person or a child whose parents have died.
how can one actually be a guardian when that person doesn’t even know who they are
She didn't know a damn thing about Joel or what went down in that room. Joel was not Ellie's father, he was someone who got paid to deliver her. Abby nor the fireflies could have known what actually happened during their journey or the extent of the relationship they built on the journey.
For all Abby knows, Joel could have made more demands for his troubles and shyt went left. She didn't know that man, all she knew was that her father was working on saving mankind (from her POV) and got murdered. How could she have known her father refused to back down? From her perspective, her father was always an honest man working for something good, and Joel is some bum willing to do shady shyt for the right price. You think it would be logical for her to just assume Joel was defending himself and blame her father for his own death?
I'm someone who expected trash after the leaks and still came away disappointed by the experience, but I cant wrap my mind around why this particular issue is such a big deal for you. There's alot of issues with the story, the context of Abby's revenge plot isnt one of those issues.
The biggest problem with it is that
This is clearly not a white man
I guess the letter from her mom stating that Marlene will look after her ain't enough, or the comic that you keep bringing up that I already posted a page from...
@6:39 in the video that YOU posted
"Marlene then reveals that she had been watching over Ellie, even setting her up to be sent to the military school as a safe place."
How did she put her in military school if she wasn't her guardian?
Why did Ellie go looking for Marlene after being bitten, if she wasn't her guardian?
the question has been answered ad nauseam...you just don’t like the answers and so keep asking it again and again and again expecting it to change...sounds slow to me
We been responding to your dumbass questions for over a week now like everybody else in here...fukk outta here breh
edit: or pretty much like @surf above said
It's a situation where you gotta put yourself in their shoes.fair enough you make a lot of solid points
even though I still disagree the fact that Abby walked into the room with dinner for her father as Marlene and him were making this critical decision and once it was made to spear Ellie life for humanity ... when Marlene tells him before he starts the surgery that she needs to tell Joel and he basically says no why dose he need to know ,.. really put the sour taste on that hole scene
I just can’t believe Abby would be that stupid and naïve not to realize her father’s negative response to Joel being informed on the new plan for the 14-year-old girl that he spent damn near a year with traveling across the country to deliver to them
at her original father being Arab or Indian
It’s so simple, and the fact literally most of the people who have contributed to this thread have had to explain this to him in such a simplified way is shockingIt's a situation where you gotta put yourself in their shoes.
Say you walked in on your father dead, your first thought wont be to just stop and contemplate on how that could have happened and rationalize why the stranger may have defended himself.
Even if you as the player feel like Joel was right in his actions, It wouldn't make sense to the character in the game who only has one side of the story.
i’m still trying to find out how somebody can be your guardian that you don’t even or barely even know
and outta her own mouth ; she doesn’t care & barely know Marlene

It's so confusing how it's such an issue. It’s so simple, and the fact literally most of the people who have contributed to this thread have had to explain this to him in such a simplified way is shocking
