ND are talented developers but the dikk riding needs to stop, making Sony stans undervalue and put down the other first party studios now
Metacritic and user scores along with playing the game myself is what I go by but professional scores aren't everything they can take off full points for anything and like dikk riding for their favorite studios because they want a seat in a podcast or special access
Insomniac is definitely a top tier developer
Spiderman PS4 is incredibly underrated I'm playing the remaster on the 5 and how come no one told me how incredible the set pieces are?

Yeah, people are starting to get weird with metacritic scores. If things don’t score in the 90’s apparently they can’t be good games. Now 80 and below? Ok, we can have a discussion but anything 85+ is top tier, especially do it over a consistent basis of like 15 years

Spiderman is the only "must have" game they've made in forever. Every game naughty dog makes is "must have".

I beat the game on new game plus. If I start another new game plus, do I lose the chapter select and encounter select options?

because I remember after I beat the game the first time, I started new game plus, and I wasn’t able to do the chapter select and encounter select until after I beat the entire game again

Yes, but if you still have a save that's from your previous playthrough. You'll be able to chapter select up to where you left off on that save. It's best to keep a Manual completed, and/or Manual Epilogue save file, and Manual backups of them just in case. It'll make a Platinum run much easier if that's what you're trying. On mine i had to play it in reverse from ending to beginning because the auto save file locked out future encounters i had beaten in my previous playthrough every time i progressed.
