I don't see a part 3 being made unless greed takes over which is highly possible..

There's nothing else to really say about Abby and Lev.. Abby had her redemption story by saving Lev and his sister..

Ellie could go on some redemption kick to go find the Firefly's and give up herself for the cure but they already said there's no one else to that could come up with a cure so that's a no go too..

I just don't think there's any story left to tell unless you do a time jump.. And I don't think they'll do that either..

I just don't see a way to legitimately revisit that world without ruining the integrity of the storytelling they've already established

I can definitely see this side too. I think my selfishness just wants more of what we got :russ: I feel where brehs are coming from with this one fukking it up for all the other games

Trust me bro I want them to continue too:russ:

I do respect their storytelling integrity so to speak and balls it took to kill Joel though.. So I'm not mad if we don't get another..

They could introduce new protagonists entirely that cross Ellie's path at some point but you think them gamers were pissed at this one:russ:

I'm not sure The Last of Us is a franchise that could move to different protagonists that way..

You might wanna spoil this one Breh, that's still a wild naked spoiler :mjlol:

Honestly I think Abby alone showed they have potential to expand on the universe, you might be on to something :ehh: She had a whole life separate from Ellie, they just couldn't afford to expand on it too much more in the scope of this story. One thing I don't think anybody can accuse ND of is being bad at creating human characters

I don't agree that its a no go. If they wanted to put another doctor that can pull it off in 3 then I'm willing to buy into that. A vaccine in this world where 90% of the population was wiped couldn't be distributed properly anyway so we're already suspending disbelief with the story. I think an effective way to end it is if Ellie gives herself up and the cure doesn't work. A bit of redemption for Joel's decision in Part 1.

I'm kind of on the opposite end with pt 3...don't think they need to do it...the overall story from the first game has been wrapped up
Joel's actions have been addressed & there is as of right now no cure.

unless the third is gonna explicitly address the infected and show the solving of that problem or end of the world...the interpersonal stories won't equal up to what the first 2 had. I think it's best to let us come up with
where Ellie's head, if Abby & Lev make it to the fireflies, & if Jackson will get overran by infected

Depending on the next game you play. TLOU2 may have already ruined it's experience for you. For example, animations in other games just seems so clunky to me now after finishing TLOU2. And i miss the atmosphere, and surviving in TLOU2's universe. ND gotta drop Factions 2, some DLC, or something. I'm going through withdrawals :russ:
I bought Tsushima right after I finished TLOU2 digitally on Saturday. Played about it an hour.
Haven’t touched it since. TLOU2 ruined games for me :unimpressed:

I actually felt like this until around the 2 hour mark on GOT, it was only once I got the full hang of combat, realised how many moves/abilities and stances you can unlock and was able to free roam I got pulled in

This so much. I had to play a bunch of indie games before continuing with my backlog because I made the mistake of starting up Sniper Elite 4 after finishing TLOU2 and I straight up deleted that shyt from my harddrive after one level. A level I only forced myself to complete because I kept telling myself not every game can be TLOU2. :mjcry:

BTW, I think there is a really good plot opportunity for Part 3.

Abby and Lev have joined the new Fireflies who are still working on a cure/vaccine. In an unguarded moment Abby reveals the story of her and Ellie, causing the Fireflies to realize Ellie's potential for the cure and head to Jackson.

Abby tries to stop them because she just wants peace but is betrayed and locked up. Lev goes rogue and saves her and together they head to Jackson to warn Ellie, forcing her to walk the trail of violence once more.

On the other hand we play a separate story with Ellie and co where it is revealed the infected are still evolving and getting stronger. When the stories clash there's a big battle in Jackson and Abby dies protecting Ellie. Tommy and Dinah also die but the Firefly army is actually brought down. Ellie however gives herself up freely to the remainders to develop a cure before the infected become too strong and gives J.J. to Lev. The story ends with an epilogue of an older Lev and a young J.J. riding horses into a new world, but whether it's free of infected or not is not revealed.

Neil Druckmann only has to find a way to add a bunch of black gay folks to the story and it's set.

Abby has literally no reason whatsoever to warn Ellie tho :patrice:

Regardless of her intent, Ellie saved her from the Rattlers. Plus the angle could be a full circle of part 2's plot where Abby has realized the folly of this continued cycle of violence and thus finds it necessary to stop an unnecessary war. If really necessary have Lev take the high road and be Abby's moral compass.
