It’s crazy how many bodies Ellie has and I’m only 6-7 hours in the game. How the fukk did the army lose to the infected if Ellie and Joel can kill hundreds without issue with barely any weapons?

But it would be dope if the wolves started to recognize that Ellie is basically on some Jack Bauer shyt and taking out entire patrol units with ease.

Quick question about the difficulty... is survivor that much harder than hard mode? I’m playing hard and the difficulty isn’t that bad. I have maxed out bullets and resources so wondering if I need to just adjust the resources or the overall difficulty. I’m only on day 1 heading to the tv station so not that far into it. I remember Grounded on the first one was a huge jump so not sure if Survivor mode is that bad on this one.
I played through on Survivor. Main Differences:

-Enemies have their head on fukking swivel. the enemy NPCS will constantly do 180s while walking.
-I had maybe, 3 bullets on each weapon, max for the majority of the campaign and I pretty much used everything up during every fight vs humans. So if you don't already search everywhere for supplies, expect to do so.
-If they find you, they're gonna try to flank you aggressively. So if you're playing non-stealthy, which is very viable. Expect to fukking sprint if they start pushing up on you.
-Bow and Arrow only kills if it's a headshot. Period.
-The only time they can't see you is if you're under HEAVY foliage. If you can see most of ellie on your screen, the enemy can see ellie.

That being said, after trying the other difficulties after beating the game, playing on Survivor was the best way to go. The lower ones just weren't as intense.

This is some good insight. I didn't play any of the other difficulties so I'm automatically skewed toward Survivor. I will say, just like the first one, it's hard to appreciate the game's combat unless you're playing it on Survivor. Just adds another layer of intensity on it.

Those AI differences are :ohhh: though. I thought that shyt would be on all the lower difficulties too. ND is crazy

Anyone remember how long it took for grounded mode to drop for the first?

I’ll wait and do my collectible run on that mode...I want a trophy for grounded too

yeah, it seems to me that the game was developed on Survivor, then they watered down that to create the lower difficulties. I really don't think I'd love the gameplay as much as I did if I played on normal or hard. This video explains it well:

Grounded didn't come out until they ported the game to PS4. I'm hoping it's available when the PS5 comes out.

Just looked it up. It was released in April the following year of release. I don't know how much more difficult they can make it considering they made 'Listen Mode" an integral part of the game this time around :beli:

Funny I'm playing on hard mode and I felt like the gameplay was very fun and intense, I can't imagine Survivor mode being so much different :wow: I want to beat this and replay it a second time when PS5 comes out since It's most likely going to be patched to play at 60fps.

But remove 80% of checkpoints like the original, there’s wasn’t a big step up in terms of damage/resources from survival to grounded, it was the lack of checkpoints and the fact you had to make it through entire sections with barely any supplied and no room for big errors that made it that much harder.

You get a checkpoint every minute on this game, but you’d pretty much be doing the Tv station for example from when you walk in to when you escape when it gets rushed

I’d also rather they remove listen mode

Enemies will also act like they don't spot you then wait for you to pop out and take you out :mjlol:

I'm not playing this on Grounded. My blood pressure couldn't take those infected swarms.

I posted in my review that there were so many times that I was on top of a crate or hiding in grass or something, thinking I was good to headshot someone. As soon as I go to aim, they turn and look directly at me on some "I FOUND EM! OVER HERE!". Leave me looking like "Wait you can see me :dwillhuh:"

:mjlol:
