finishing up part 1 after playing some of this for a bit...definitely more “lighthearted” and simpler story...part 2 seems darker and more complex a story...I’m running thru these enemies a whole lot easier in part 1...2 is definitely more challenging

Part 1 had that weird hardware limitations where they couldn't have both clickers and humans in the same area except for like 1 one area.

And the whole stealth not dectecting AI companion STILL cracks me up.

Not sure how you can look at human history - shyt, look at current events - and think that what the game shows you is too much or illogical, specially for a video game setting. The whole point of the Scars is showing that even when it could be well intentioned and lead by good people, as with any religion it goes to shyt once the followers take over.

and you basically touched on the real message the game tries to give :dahell:
The original game really wanted to be grounded in realism. They stepped away from that in Part 2. In a post-apocalyptic setting with an overwhelming predator threat, there would be more preservation. Psychology, the point of surviving such harsh conditions Is that killing the unnecessary provides an illogical risk in more ways than one. So, the overabundance of violence just lack the awareness of what those actions mean.

I had this original issue in the 1st game when bandits acted more like Walking Dead villains and less than realized human beings that we've grown accustomed to throughout the stoey. Yet, they framed it in a way that made better sense for atleast Joel & Ellie. Joel was injured and they couldn't really move. They where trying to survive on the edge. It was a much tighter narrative that has some sense of realism.

In Part 2, it's a revenge plot in a setting that really doesn't have time or reason to get revenge unless it's pertaining to survival. It really threw away all the rules established in the 1st game for this narrative. The longer game means more combat loop. Which is more human killing. It goes to Uncharted levels of obscene human killing. It's just kind of silly.

I understand the point of the game, but when you read the same story across the genre all my life. It becomes a game of topping eachother with whom can make the most brutal world no matter if it doesn't make sense. To me, that's just not interesting.

It's gonna be a tight race for GOTY if Cyberpunk gets delayed to 2021. Right now, I think my top games will end up being..

Doom Eternal
Last of Us Part 2
Ghost of Tsushima
Spider-Man: Miles Morales

I'm excited to see how the unreleased games turn out. I think Ghost will be a sleeper GOTY winner if Cyberpunk gets delayed again.

Yeah I’ve found myself doing a lot more stealth/sneaking in part 2.

For example in Day 1 Seattle when you’re in that underground metro station with the red lights with clickers and humans stalking you. I just fukking crafted a ton of flash bangs, threw them at the humans, let the humans and clickers fight and dipped on both sets!

Man, I fukking SUCKED at stealth this time around :russ:, specially in the 2nd half of it. With Ellie I would get 1-3 kills, then get caught and had to run around like a motherfukker so they could lose track of me and go back to stealth killing. But I was never able to sneak around every enemy in a section (was only able to to do it 2 times, and both were in the 2nd half, funnily enough), specially with infected. In part 1 there were a bunch of sections I just avoided confrontation altogether but I couldn't do it for this game.

Most of the time it was because I didn't know were to go so I wouldn't explore the whole area so I missed the best places to go undetected :heh: :snoop:

Making the infected take care of enemies was dope though, the sounds from wolves and scars when they faced the shyt we had to face all the cotdamn time :picard:

fukking fakkit in the other thread spoiled an ending detail for me out of nowhere in a thread that had ZERO to do with this game. :smh: Some of these nikkas need to take timeouts.

Damn, sorry that happened breh. I'm surprised I haven't got spoiled yet. I remember seeing a lot of Endgame spoilers in a lot of unrelated shyt but then again I wasn't really trying to avoid them.

I'm in hardcore blackout mode, what I'am getting now is some haters I know IRL trying to see where I'm at in the game so they could talk shyt or see if I got upset enough to join the hate party :mjlol:

I feel the lowkey :beli: when I tell them I'm enjoying everything.

I don't even know how a gamer can hate on this game. Not liking it for whatever reason? Cool not everyone likes everything but hating? LMAO

Whats funny is these supposedly huge fans of the first game...

1. Read spoilers intentionally ahead of time. Like what big fan does that?

2. Are such huge fans but won't play the game cause they don't like what they read.

Being disappointed is fine but it seems weird to me how so many "huge fans of the first game who waited 7 years" just willy nilly read spoilers like whatever. I went on a media blackout for the game cause I am a fan of the first. Also you would think any big fan of the original means they are a fan of Neil's writing. This is the same man that gave you the game you love so much. The same man that helped create the characters you're so upset about. But magically he's complete trash cause what you 'wanted' to happen didn't go exactly how you pre-wrote it in your head. And now you won't even play the game through it's entirety ONCE to give it a shot?

I'm one of the people that thinks GoT Season 8 ruined everything and the latest Star Wars trilogy is trash too. It's not like I'm opposed to pointing out when something I loved has become trash.

Even if you hate the story of this game which you're allowed, it's a subjective thing, you can still appreciate the amount of effort that went into creating this game. To call the game trash is just absurd to me. Why are we in such a black and white society right now. It's either 10/10 masterpiece or 0/10 complete garbage. When neither is reality. This isn't everybody, some on here have well thought out criticisms and valid complaints. Then there are those that are saying shyt they didn't even observe or play, and when you ask them to be specific, they can't. Yet THEY are the most vocal and upset. They are leaving bad reviews, and picking a plot apart they only read about or watched 2 hours of on YouTube. This game had 6k negative reviews and a user score of 3.2, FIVE HOURS after it released.

I played non stop all day every day since Friday at midnight on release, and only beat it Sunday afternoon. Like an embarrassing amount of time spent playing. 25 hours in 3 days. This is cause I didn't want to be spoiled. But ya, 5k people hated it 5 hours after it dropped, yea oookkkk. Who the fukk would be so mad they'd give a game 0 out of 10, 5 hours after it's release? You should have to link your PSN/XBOX/Steam ID to Metacritic to leave a user review, and if you don't own the game you can't. If they did that how much would the score change you think?
