Since the PS5 got b/c they'll get the extra in double dippers and newcomers there too.

its says part 2 instead of the last of us 2 for a reason. You'll be missing the other half of the story. Reviewers have said as much

The original game ended in an acceptable place. This always seemed like a sequel made because the other game was so successful and not because the story needed to be continued. It's a AAA game with high production values and a long development cycle so it's going to review well but time will really tell if this game was necessary or just another forced sequel.

The awesome thing about this game is that it has a fully customizable difficulty. I'll leave survival for 2nd play through though.
