You not getting Ghosts?This will probably be my last video game purchase until the PS5 comes out. I didn't get a PS4 until late 2016. Time goes by quick. So many games in the backlog that I haven't started or will probably never finish.

How the fukk does one complain about the violence? Joel's savagery was one of the first game's highlights.
It's one thing for a game to have violence. It's another for a game to preach to you that violence is wrong all the while requiring you to commit acts of violence to progress. That's hamstringing the narrative. The game removes choice then tell you how to feel about required actions it actually considers wrong.
I think the argument is gaming has moved beyond that sort of limited storytelling. I mean we have games like Bioshock that lampoon such story telling with the "Would you kindly."
I don't really have issues with the violence but I do get the point of trying to make the player feel a certain way about it.

There's only certain parts of the game where you need to use your gun.
Stealth, bottles/bricks and chokeholds/knife is all you need during the rest of the game
