A lot of it is "Oh it's way too violent for the times right now", but it's fraudulent. If 2020 had been like any normal year and Naughty Dog censored it, you would've seen video essays and twitter threads about how censorship is wrong.
Not too long ago, people were getting on Naughty Dog's case about being "overworked" and "crunch culture", but look at how quick that went away. Here today, gone tomorrow. And sure, ND shouldn't abuse their workers to the point of them getting sick, but this all just screams "hater" to me. People want this game to fail so badly, so now they're gonna grasp at straws to nitpick at anything because the reviews say otherwise.
Mind you, reviews aren't always right and you should always experience it for yourself, but some people were waiting for the reviews to drop because of them thinking the game was going to be bombed. Now they're "paid shills". Gamers are weird.

There's literally a narrative on Youtube from what I've seen that the Skillup review is the sole reviewer with integrity(because he didn't give it a 10) and every one else are just shilling and praising the game because they were "paid".

Been watching a lot of reviews and the reviewers are saying it’s nothing like how they thought. One even said the greatest video game story he has ever experienced. Apparently this is an emotional roller coaster and isn’t one to be missed. I am curious to see what guys on here actually say before purchasing this.
