The Polygon review is some straight up fake woke nonsense, he’s mad at the game because and ND for how they depict humans and how they would act in that situation and always being violent instead of building positivity :mjlol:

correct me if I’m wrong, and I know the world is going through some shyt right now, but I’m not sure he knows how the world would react if The entire Earth Civilisation broke down and was 90% wiped out by a brain regenerating fungal virus

So, I read the Polygon review after reading this, since I don't usually check Polygon. I came away with two points.

1: A lot of the reviewer's issues start with the end of the first game, and effectively boil down to being upset that the characters don't make the choices she wanted them to. I'm starting to get tired of seeing that kind of criticism in media, but games get it the worst. If we're going to push for games to have storytelling on the level of other forms of media, we need to stop shytting on creators for not going along with fan theories, or the stories we made up in our head. Ultimately, it's their story to tell.

2: The criticism of the character responding to their situations with violence and anger didn't sit well with me, either, especially with it making reference to the current protests. It's saying that violence isn't the answer from the viewpoint of someone who sounds like they don't completely understand how someone could be driven to anger and violence after having basic rights or something/someone close to them taken from them repeatedly.

Matter of fact, she probably should've left the bit comparing the game to now out. I imagine there are people who read that as less a criticism of the game, and a criticism of the protests themselves.

I replayed the PS3 original tonight from the beginning through the middle of Bill's town... honestly the gameplay and graphics still hold up to this day, it's incredible what they were able to do with the tech. I'm playing it on Survivor... not gonna lie, I miss the listening function :sadcam: but it really does make you play more like a survivor lol, fukk clearing out a room full of clickers when you can skate past them all and save your shivs and bullets :wow:

fukk the runners though :hhh: these j ass nikkas got supersenses, strength and everything :mjlol:

The story is what really made this a classic though... I wasn't even gonna play this many hours tonight but it's been long enough that it's almost like playing it for the first time all over again :wow: If only the multiplayer still worked
I remember how I thought bills town was gonna be it.

Then it just kept going

sounds familiar, what he do?
Ex naughty dog employee who used to shyt on the company during the crunch news story saying he’s glad he no longer works there and hoped that TLOU2 failed. He also said all of the talented employees left the company which was a lie and that they only became successful due to luck :mjlol:

Yeah, the length of the first one for PS3 tech is really impressive when you think about it, the entire season of summer is a game by itself..

Safe Zone
Docks
Outskirts
Business Sector
Subway
Museum
Capitol Building
Bills Town/school
Pittsburgh (this section is the games longest)
Sewers
Suburbs

At 50% longer this game is a fukking Feast, and iv only seen a couple reviews say that certain bits can be longer than needed, almost everyone else said the game is consistent all the way through

Huh? That’s the best time. You’ve got all weekend to play it.

Not with an ass work schedule :mjcry:

A Tuesday release would have been better for me since it's my off day all the way to Thursday. While I get to play the midnight launch next week Friday, I can't stay up too long because I got work in the morning. :why:
