That was greatly told story :dame: :mjcry:

I really liked the changes to Bill, it made for a much better TV episode than him being a bitter paranoid fukk that got his boyfriend to kill himself because he couldn't stand living with him one more minute. The show doesn't need to be a misery fest so I welcome this change :obama:

It also leaves us game players :lupe: about that other story they'll tell soon.
It’s enough misery being piled on Joel with him failing to protect Sarah and Tess

So was bill and frank gay and were they both dead by the time Joel and Elle got there in the game? I hardly remember anything from the game.

Good episode but isn’t much better than last episode (which is the weakest so far). If last episode was a 7. This one might be a 7.1. The first half of episode 1 is still the peak so far imo. The way they hyped this episode for close to a month now is a head scratcher because what in this episode makes it a 10 out of 10, or even a 9 out of 10 episode?

It was a bold move to skip Bill’s Town. But if you’re going to skip it, the Episode HAS to be better than the game. It definitely was not. Not even close really. So much piff happened in Bill's town and they cut it like they didn't want to bother or didn't have the time or budget for it (we know they had the budget). I feel like they could have did the game’s Bill town, but then have Bill pull Joel aside, and tell him what he wrote on the note, personally. After Joel & Ellie leaves Bill Town. Wrap up the episode by showing Bill about to end his life. Frank & Bill’s story probably could have still been told through flashbacks throughout the episode. I’m starting to think next season they have to do more action/character building through surviving together, and less walk & talk for character building. There needs to be some sort of balance established.

We already know how this is going to go though. People who hate the episode is going to be labeled homophobic (some probably are, and some legit just didn’t like the episode) . People who love it is going to seen as going with the agenda (some are, some are already doing it for views and clicks but this somewhat could be said for both sides).

Critics said this episode was the best episode of the season (and some of the best hour of television ever lol). But next weeks preview looks better than this week’s episode. That’s a good thing imo because you don’t want the season to peak on only the third episode. The critics being wrong about the third episode may be a blessing in disguise.

For people who hadn’t played the game. I think THEY might like this episode better than those of us who played the game. But most critics who reviewed the season (who said this episode is the GOAT) say they so called played the game :jbhmm: I just don't see most people who played the game liking this episode how them nikkas liked this episode. Again, it's a good episode. But I swear i'm not exaggerating when I say critics was saying this episode would be some of the most captivating shyt in television history.

This non Harlem activity in the game?
Bill never comes out and says he's gay and we don't even see Frank in the game. But it's heavily implied they were a couple and the game basically tells you Bill was gay (had gay porno magazines and refers to Frank as his "partner").

Through letters you find in the game and dialogue with Bill, you find out Frank tried to leave Bill's town but gets attacked and infected, so he decides to kill himself. He leaves a note that Joel picks up but Bill never learns about because Frank ended up hating Bill's guts for his way of living and feeling trapped in that town with him, so Joel keeps that info to himself.

alright so, in the game it’s all implied and stated but never shown. Bill is alive in the game. You meet him and do missions and stuff and he and Ellie kinda talk shyt back and forth. Bill and Frank have a falling out after spending years together as a couple but it’s all spoken off until…

You go to another side of bills town full of infected and such. Frank had left Bull and was either fixing something or helping someone but mainly getting away from miserable bill when he ends up bit. Instead of turning into a monster Frank hung himself and all three find him. Bill and Joel do bond over their Tess and Frank dying and y’all leave bills town with a car and supplies.
