I owned ico and sotc for PS3
For people wondering what the game is it's basically a puzzle plat former where you need to figure out what you have to do/ where you have to go. Depending on the level that alone could take you some time
Enemies are puzzles themselves since you can't rumble them head up most times and you need to figure out the best approach to defeat them
This big ass catbird will add another layer to the puzzling since his size will apparently have impact on the environment.
Personally I'm going past on this, just got 3 other games for Black Friday I need to focus on

I'm dampening my expectations for this. Ico and Sotc are top 10 all-time for me but It's been so long since then, I wonder if the team still has that creative juice in them

Fumito Ueda has penned a heartfelt message to The Last Guardian players, which Sony has bundled with the game's media kit.

The media kit, delivered by publisher Sony to Eurogamer yesterday but under embargo until this morning, includes a note from The Last Guardian designer and director Ueda about the game that began development a whopping nine years ago. (There's a feather in the media kit, too!)

The message, republished below, references the development turmoil that saw The Last Guardian move from a PlayStation 3 game onto PS4.

But it ends with a word of advice: as you play, admire the scenery, and watch out for the ending.

• Dear Adventurers
• It's been a long time coming, but I take great pleasure (and relief!) in knowing that The Last Guardian is in your hands.
• When we first began work on The Last Guardian, I intended it to take from and build on our experience working in ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, making it something akin to a greatest hits album. Unfortunately, as you know, we ran into a few twists and turns along the way, and the title took longer than anyone expected. Still, just as ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are truly unique games, so too is The Last Guardian an experience unlike any other.
• As you play, take the time to stop and enjoy the scenery as you follow these unlikely companions on their journey. And you definitely won't want to miss the ending!
• The development team and I hope you all have a wonderful time with The Last Guardian. Nothing would make us happier.

But the standout game of 2016 will be The Last Guardian, a Japanese-made buddy game about a young boy and a hulking, dog-like creature who together must escape a tumbledown castle. In the pair’s movements the game has all the masterly animation of a Studio Ghibli film, but The Last Guardian’s true power comes from the way in which a story of trust, companionship and restoration (Trico, as the creature is called, has clearly suffered much abuse at the hands of his captors) is told not through cinematic scenes, but through the game’s tactile interactions. If ever there was a story to salve the wounds inflicted by this dark year, this is it.
