We have a disturbing amount of black adults who say being beaten as a child made them a better person, and they turned out fine. Even if it doesn’t lead to DV, or violence, it leads to a lack of proper conflict resolution, and not communicating properly.

If we are supposedly concerned about Black women dying in a higher number than others, then we need to be concerned about Black men dying in vastly higher numbers because they are closely related. You can not address/fix why women are being killed in higher numbers without the male part when most of the deaths on both side are happening in the same areas.
Like the report states, socioeconomic factors are a major reason these deaths are happening and you can not fix the problem plaguing women without doing the same for men.

And that is my point. Of course there is domestic violence going on resulting in death but all you have to do is look at the news and see people getting shot and killed everyday. People getting killed just because someone thought one of their "opps" was in a crowd of randoms. People getting killed because they happened to drive a car that looked like a rival gang member was driving. Those are problems that can not be solved by just "looking into a mirror". They are deeply rooted dysfunctional issues that must be addressed and you can not do it in a piecemeal fashion. The environment people live in will determine the likelihood of events like these happening and that needs to be looked at more in depth.
