Nuggets reign on top was shorter than leprechauns. They haven’t made a single good move since winning that ring. They definitely going backwards
I tried to tell people
They tried to say dynasty coming. It takes more than joking breh

It's amazing to me how the nuggets owner cheapef out on a winning championship team roster. Kcp swapped out for Westbrook. Losing Bruce brown etc.

Kinda makes you realize that championships are largely determined by willingness of owner to spend
This kinda ruins it for me honestly.
It would be interesting to run a correlation on champion team relative spending over years to indicate if that hypothesis is true. Do the teams in the top 10% of spending( top 3 most expensive teams) usually win a championship ???????

If anyone has come across this research it would be interesting to see
Not always ballmer was willing to pay for pg and kawhi and harden until he realized it didn't matter

They had really good role players

They lost a few of them

It’s hard keeping a team like that for long those guys gonna want to get paid

That’s why I said a team like the 90’s bulls could never stay around that long

Pippen Kerr BJ grant Rodman and a few others would have been poached along the way

That’s why a great GM is needed in this day and age

True. That is a good counterpoint. Still I am curious to say the regression of teams that win championship vs the relative payroll quartile.

Russ's fall off is tough. He hasn't even lost any athleticism, he just can't shoot for shyt

The only way I think he can still be effective is in a 6th man role maybe, which looks like that's what he'll be doing in Denver.
He's just still above most players but he's lost some.

Yeah I don't see how any team could legitimately build a dynasty in this day an age the way money is being thrown around.

I have no idea what happened to Russ his mid range was damn near money and his post up was great

Did he get too strong somehow?

His shot goes over the backboards sometimes

It’s wild how quick that happens

He bulked up the year after his mvp and he wasn't exactly the same since.
I think I read his fingers got jacked up a couple times and they never fully recovered
