It's amazing to me how the nuggets owner cheapef out on a winning championship team roster. Kcp swapped out for Westbrook. Losing Bruce brown etc.

Kinda makes you realize that championships are largely determined by willingness of owner to spend
This kinda ruins it for me honestly.
It would be interesting to run a correlation on champion team relative spending over years to indicate if that hypothesis is true. Do the teams in the top 10% of spending( top 3 most expensive teams) usually win a championship ???????

If anyone has come across this research it would be interesting to see
Cheap ownership had nothing to do those moves necessarily. They were willing to match KCP, but couldn’t match the no state tax in Florida. They were also capped in how much they could offer Bruce Brown and Indy poison pilled that contract so they couldn’t.

Now losing dudes like Jeff Green and depending on rookies definitely cheaping out.

This is all ramifications of the 2nd tax apron, yet you got posters in here still holding it against teams like it isn’t.

It's rumored Jokic pushed for Russ to be brought on. I can see his value of taking up PG duties with the second unit, otherwise he doesn't bring much else to what they need. They lost two dirty work 3 and D guys back to back years and haven't made up for those losses. If Russ can bring energy along with directing the second unit I believe it can work.

Nuggets seem like they are banking all in on their draft picks, 1st and 2nd year players. Unfortunately they are all D and no 3 :dame:

My guy! I will always root for Westbrook. Stand up person and goes hundred percent. Who cares if his jump shot isn't hitting. He does so much and he took a back seat to guys who in the end wouldn't have sacrificed.
This reminded me of a story Austin rivers told. Right after he came to Denver, he was getting shots up at the practice facility. Jokic came in to go though his routine, and instead of kicking him off the main court like any other star would, he just went and used one of the side hoops.

Most American stars really don’t fukk with Jokic, but Russ does, and vice versa. They’re both real ones
