Dudes still sleeping on D Lo and reeves. They’ve been ballin

And ironically enough both these teams have similar scoring distribution

Jokic-AD
Murray-Bron
MPJ-DLo
Gordon-Reeves
KCP-Schroeder
Bruce- Rui
D Lo and reeves are both inconsistent

Phoenix had 2 players capable of scoring 25 pts, the Lakers have 4 (Bron, AD, Reaves, Dlo)...and don't forget about Rui/Dennis/Walker who can also drop 15 pts in any given game...The Lakers are a top 3 defensive team while Denver is below average....Lakers in 6

The nuggets have six players that are capable of scoring 25 and the lakers played two series where they could help off of a non scoring threat. The lakers defense will face a true test in the nuggets, no draymonds, looneys, or Brooks are going to be out there with no offensive

Denver's defense is worse than GS. Lakers offense should cook. The challenge will be on the other side of the ball
Denver has a better overall defense.

The Warriors' defense fell apart whenever Dray wasn't on the floor, and the mileage over the years caught up to them on that end. Poole pretty much killed every lineup he was in too; Denver doesn't have anyone remotely as bad as him. Whereas the Nuggets probably have the best defensive perimeter trio in the playoffs (AG, KCP and Brown), so whenever any two or all three are in the lineup, they should remain grounded on that end of the floor. They're a naturally hungrier team wanting to prove themselves, so they'll fight more too, and as we know effort is half the battle.

Braun's value is almost entirely on defense and Uncle Jeff is more or less a defensive talisman now.

Even MPJ is playing passable defense now too, but a lot of that is based upon how involved he is on offense to keep him engaged in the game.

Warriors have given a good gameplan which is to bring AD out and let your wing players cut. Nuggets have one of the best passers in the league and wings who can follow that plan. I was confident in Lakers winning this series before playoffs but not as much now because Denvers defense these playoffs has been much better.

On the other end though, outside of Ant Edwards, Nuggets haven't been challenged much inside and that is where Lakers thrive. It will be interesting to see how Nuggets react to that. Idk how much AD and LeBron have left stamina wise and now they have to play in one of the most exhausting atmospheres in the league. I hope Lakers can find a way to pull it off.
I don’t think the Lakers will try to hedge ass much as they did in the Warriors series …that defensive strategy was specifically an adjustment to the greatness of Curry and how they were blown out in game 2 … the lakers started the series playing AD in drop coverage essentially sagging back in the paint …Murray or whoever the ball handler is will have to command enough respect from the Lakers to make them guard that PnR action the same way they did last series
