joe jackson aint receieved credit for his accomplishments. made the goat entertainer ever and arguably the baddest chick in the game since the 80's. people still look at him as like an abusive father when we all know those ass whooping was just regular behaviour in black families. i wouldnt recommend his behaviour but it was not out of the ordinary for daddys to keep they kids in check with those ass whoopings.

and berry gordy the goat record man ever. just read a piece that said motown has sold over 1 billion records. salute that black man.:salute:

imagine if MJ stayed on motown instead of going to epic for his solo...Gordy lost out on another qtr bili (that is of course if mj would even have the same success staying with motown)

The only reason the Jacksons left Motown was because Berry Gordy wouldn't allow them to produce and write their own material. There were only 3 artists at the time who Berry allowed artistic freedom. Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, and Marvin Gate. Everybody else had their music written and produced by Berry's team. The Jacksons were tired of the bubblegum sound and Michael even met with Barry Gordy face to face to discuss the issue. Barry Gordy made the fatal mistake of underestimating Michael, when he asked Michael how he knew that he could successfully write his own music Michael replied "because I just KNOW I can". Barry wouldn't relent which led to the Jacksons signing with CBS.
