Saw it today, was a beautiful but tough watch. As a wrestling fan they kinda glossed over some things but they did the story justice

I definitely understand what everyone is saying about the Ric Flair casting. They could’ve gotten someone a little better, but it still would’ve fell short.
I don’t think there’s an actor (who would also have to be an athlete) on the planet who can capture him. He’s that much of a unique and charismatic person.
It’s like trying to cast Michael Jackson; nobody is ever going to be good enough and that’s more of a testament to their personas than acting ability, imo.

I can see how people felt that Ric Flair was shaky. But be honest. Who outside the wrestling bubble could do Ric Flair justice in basically a cameo role.

Yup, about midway through that promo I just realized that Ric Flair is a one of one so all you can really do is try, so I was able to get past it
I liked it, but it's one film I think could have benefited with a longer runtime. I thought they rushed the shyt out of Kerry's story, and made changes to it that I didn't care for. Kerry's story could be made into a film in and of itself though.
I feel like this could have been fantastic and much stronger told as a streaming series, especially if it allowed them to include Chris who was left out. Hopefully, the revisit the story in that format down the line.

Crazy because I know there was the "shelved" movie of Thor playing Hogan. And there was talks of Bradly Cooper doing a Vince McMahon movie a while back.
