i dont know man....just seemed like dude went way commercial to me

"the only time i see commercial is when i watch tv, and yall know that i rep these streets faithfully" - jeezy
What song is commercial on TM103? :heh:

The singles?
Lose my mind ft Plies?
Fake ass motherfukkers envy?
Supafreak?
OJ?

This dude put Ne-yo on his shyt and had to compliment for the "mainstreamsness" with getting Warren G to produce that shyt.

I used to say this but I've come to find out its moreso basically if you not a "industry nikka" don't expect for the media to push your agenda or legacy.....those BET awards is all about who's friends with who,I've seen Jay get nominated sum yrs without doing sumthin all year,or songs get nominated that ain't even come out in the deadlines.....jeezy not that type to try to rub shoulders with certain people just to get his career ahead....long as the streets go his back and he got the streets hell last longer legacy wise then these forcefed acts....but I saw the same thing with Bone who's movement wuz bigger then Jeezys....they not industry dudes whatsoever and don't do industry favors so they get left out now and people act like they don't exist....u can't say its just "of the moment dikkriding" bcuz even at his peak like u said he wuz kinda background.

If anything Jeezys somewhat drop in popularity happened because of that big ass gap between The Recession and 103. I know he dropped some half way decent mixtapes in between but 103 shoulda been out in 2010 at the latest. Im starting think Jeezy is just lazy with it.

Where are the videos for 103?

Why doesn't anyone outside the internet know who Gibbs is?

I've seen at least 4 videos for that shyt on youtube 5 if u count lose my mind...how can usay he lazy when he put out like 4 mixtapes to hold nikkas over durin the pushback period? Ain't like nikkas wuz really starvin, just greedy and just had to have a "album"...if a artist givin me free music that's hot to hold me over I'm cool, this ain't no jay electronica situation...anybody kno the situation with the song Flexin?they shot a video for it and it coulda been a banger and a smash...but it got left off the album and the video never came out, instead they used OJ with Fab on the album:wtb:

Yea the secret illuminati masons of the recording industry of american wants to take down Young Jeezy even though currently his latest single is getting more spins on Clear Channel stations than anything hes put out since 'My President Is Black'

Young Jeezy just isn't capturing the attention of the same people he did when he first came out. It is not a secret conspiracy when someone you like a lot isnt popular.

I think the thread starters thing is that Jeezy sells more, has bigger shows and is richer than these cats. But doesn't get the same media love.

I think it's another thing, Jeezy never loved the media and has had beef with Djs all over the country for how he used to move back in the days. Back when the media and feds were trying to block him. Moufukking cnn posting fake articles about him and shyt.

But I don't think anyone is hating on Jeezy, specially not in 2012. It's more the way he moves, he moves like he's a street dude with industry contacts and infiltrating corporate businesses. When in reality he's an industry contact with corporate businesses.

When i say lazy i mean as far as PROMOTING HIS BRAND. As long as Jeezy been in the game and as much mainstream success he has had CTE should be alot bigger and recognizable than it is.

Jeezy too busy smoking blunts and rapping over Lody beats to get out here and push his BRAND. nikka lazy. Jeezy should b a mogul by now

Or maybe the problem is that he's signing Bloods and stuff, wack ass rappers who he fukks with cause they are "real nikkas". Freddie Gibbs is the only cat worth anything on his label and even he's too depressing/street for this shyt.

Jeezy is busy eating of one of the biggest (and ugliest) urban brands out, touring, recording and fukking with his people.
I would guess that his clothing brand is his biggest income..

Lupe has been on the list, back when he was poppin.
But no one was fukking with him last year, no the streets, internets, nothing. He wasn't on any hiphop sites besides when it was about complaining, or Obama being wack or whatever the fukk. He was a B.o.b., Flowrider rapper last year. His first single was actually on the POP-singles charts :heh:

I know the truth hurts' but Jeezy fell off years ago. He's a shell of him former self. nikkas took his style (from the simple slow flow to the beats) and ran with it. His style does not stand out anymore. It's not as distinct. It was bound to happen. His sound is so simple, that it's easy to emulate. Once nikkas stepped in his lane, he didn't adapt by making sure his shyt was step above everyone else or altering his style enough. The nikka has had little growth as an artist and is pretty one dimensional, even for rapper standards.

The media? Who is the media for Hip Hop these days exactly tho? Blogs, forums, and twitter right? Jeezy was never the bloggers champ or big on any forums. The mainstream media covered Young Jeezy more for 'My President Is Black' than they have any other mainstream artist in a while not named Kanye of Jay-z.

The guy isn't getting the same attention because quite frankly, hes not that good of a rapper. Hes made some great music in the past but hes never really expanded out of that. His style is going to get stale in a genre where everything has to be fresh because hes just not that talented of an artist.

I still fukks with Jeezy, people slept on TM103. He probably isn't the "Hottest" artist out right now but i could give a sh!t cause I don't listen to Rick Ross, Nicki Manaj, and those type of cats that are considered hot.

Tm103 went gold, Superfreak & Leave You Alone got plenty play.

Seems like he is actually eating better than most rappers are these days.

He is just a little low key......... Its not like he's Plies status or some shyt

"THe mainstream media cover My president is black"?
You know that by the time the single had dropped he already moved mad records, the only reason Fox covered it was cause they performed it (Jay and Jeezy) on the inauguration night and they thought it was racist specially cause Jay was in DC cause the president invited him to the vip section.

People keep on saying he's declining, bla bla bla But he's selling records and selling out shows. Just shut down summer jam like that..
Who are these people with more talent and more dimensions selling more records than him besides the ones that have been here since the 90s + Drake/Wiz.
His media presence is probably higher than ever right now. More interviews, documentaries on VEVO with Samuel and all that.

And yes those are the medias including MTV, Billboard and other more corporate media sources, I'm not saying that they are hating on him. I'm saying that he's never fukked with the media, dude was the last person in the industry to get a twitter.

exactly.

and theyve been trying to downplay jeezy from the start. even when he was by far the hottest rapper out, popularity-wise. i saw this coming 7 years ago.
