It comes down to Tennessee and Ohio. The B1G and SEC got two teams apiece heading to the semis.
The SEC been claiming that they should get special consideration due to the strength of their conference. If Tenn makes it, that gives the SEC three teams in the quarterfinals, giving their claims credence.
The B1G and the rest of CFB says they're overrated and don't deserve it. If Ohio wins, that gives the B1G three teams and credence to their claims.
