I actually managed to get the OG copy when it was first released in 93 with g's up hoes down on it like 13 years ago. To me, that version was mastered differently and you can tell the difference from the remaster version. The OG actually is superior

I rarely fukk with remastered joints. How it came out originally is how I grew up hearing it and that's how I prefer it.

That remastered ready to die is a fukking joke

I was a kid, ~7-8 when this dropped and even at that age I remember the hype surrounding snoop & doggystyle back from the older kids around my way. I remember us all packing in someone's crib to catch the Whats my Name video to see the dog morphing.

GRODT hype was the only thing that comes close but of course we all remember that with more clarity.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Snoop Dogg's multi- platinum Doggystyle, heralded as one of the most important albums of all time, Death Row Records will be bringing this back to retail with the original 1993 track listing on vinyl. This new 30th Anniversary edition will include the track "Gz Up, Hoes Down" which has not been on the album since its pressing in 1993. For new and old fans alike, this is the definitive version of the classic album that launched Snoop's solo career and helped define the sound of Los Angeles in the process.

Drops: 11/24/2023. I put in a pre-order 10 days ago.

People naming all these random rappers that sold a lot....

They did that when rap was mainstream.

Snoop made rap mainstream.

That's the difference. Dude was on the cover of Newsweek the week "Doggystyle" came out.

Not The Source, Vibe, or Rolling Stone....Newsweek. In 1993.

If I gotta explain the difference, you probably weren't alive or old enough to remember when the album came out. Respectfully.

Fred.

This.

And he did it with a looming murder case.

the irony.

its one thing to say its better, but lightyears is over doing it.

practice what you preach and stop "overrating it a bit :pachaha: "
If rapping about dikks and balls is top tier lyricism to you, to each his own :hubie:

A lot more variety on an outkast album

More maturity as well. Even on the first lp
