Looks like Ethiopian federal forces alongside Amhara regional militia is routing TPLF in western Tigray and are pushing north, occupying disputed land areas like Welkait and Kafta Humera

This is clearly Amhara vs Tigray. Smh

This is all the doing of ur uncle my friend.

:mjlol: at this tplf propagandist. A lot of these dudes are just waffling posting unsubstantiated rumours. These so called analysts on social media are exaggerating the role of Eritrea right now, this is an internal ethiopian affair. This showdown between the federal government and tplf has been a long time coming. Eritrean troops are stationed at the border but havent been involved in any skirmishes. You are the one who should check your uncle who is on the TPLF payroll

Btw the man you posted, Kjetil Tronvoll, used to live in Eritrea until his research permit was rejected and then settled in Tigray, Ethiopia.

Abiy doesn’t realize that he ain’t dealing with weak servile nikkas like oromos. These Tigrays are war ready and having been preparing this for time. Already two Ethiopian fighter jets got shot down

yes tigray has war experience and is heavily armed, mainly due to the northern command of the ethiopian army being in tigray and they successfully managed to raid it and get ahold of some of the military equipment which is what prompted Abiy to act. But ultimately I think Tigray is fukked, land-locked region with no regional allies which means a logistical nightmare if this conflict dragges on, which it certainly looks like it could. Both sides have serious capabilities and are not budging.

:mjlol: Walaal, there has been no proof of them shooting down any fighter jets. I am not saying it didnt happen because they seem to have at least 3 anti-aircraft sites with associated radar systems but so far nothing has been confirmed. TPLF leaders have been tweeting and I believe they would have shown some type of picture or proof if it was true.

Norfeast groovin…
I just want all our opps to die. fukk Meles and TPLF for willingly creating a bomb within the social fabric for anyone who dares to take the mandate to rule from them. fukk Abiy for making parks and twiddling his thumbs while shyt deteriorated. I don’t care if it’s by firing squad, in the acid pools and fire pits of Afar, throw them off the top of Ras Dashen, feed them to the Harar hyenas. Just liquidate anyone off code. fukk em all. This shyt tiresome :unimpressed:

@JDH do you think Afwerki will intervene at any point?
Honestly impossible to say, nobody knows wtf Isaias is gonna do. It also depends on how the conflict develops. I can see him providing logistical support to Abiy and there have been reports of some of the northern ethiopian army defecting to Eritrea, so they might use Eritrea as a base to launch attacks from the north. Hard to get reliable info since internet is shut down in Tigray but read through this thread to get a bit of overview:

HOA is not his area of expertise and he is not from the region either so some of his takes might be a bit off but still valuable info

This account is run by the same dude and another guy I think, you can check the updates here as well

Part of the reason for the initial offensive in western Tigray seems to be to cut off Tigray from Sudan

https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-e...ay-conflict-military-sources-say-idUKKBN27P0L

A military official in Amhara told Reuters that clashes with Tigrayan forces in Kirakir, near the border between the regions of Tigray and Amhara, had killed nearly 500 Tigrayan forces.

Three security sources in Amhara said the Ethiopian army had also lost hundreds in the original battle in Dansha.

Wow these are massive losses. Clearly far more intense fighting than it appears so far. As I said before in this thread, lack of communication infrastructure in Ethiopia, and ability of Government to easily disrupt communications means so much about the country is obscured/based on hearsay.
