not only oromos but there are vigilante gropus from all over wrecking shyt. Last week armed amharas killed over 200 people in benishangul :merchant:. Ethiopia is a mess. its always a delicate issue pushing for regime change in countries like these that have been led by strongmen for decades and lacks strong governmental institutions and legislative bodies. If there are not any legit political contenders to take over it could very well be another Libya situation

Not there yet but you are right its teetering on the edge. The TMC has zero support and is trying to re-impose control through brute force. That seems like a recipe for civil war, especially if we see a repeat of what happened on June 3rd again. Wouldnt be surprised if some army units defect.

The bright side is Sudans opposition isnt organized around ethnic or religious lines at the moment, so it may be difficult for the TMC to divide them. They have so been very disciplined by our regional standards at least and fully committed to keeping their movement civil. Theyve also succeeded and getting their movement significant international attention. Perhaps the Americans will be more compelled to tell their counter-revolution axis allies to take the L.

I read that they are bringing a diplomat out of retirement to direct U.S policy on the issue
