Box Cutta
Bumbling Sidekick
This reads like some shyt a fan would write. Sounds like he caught feelings after everyone clowned the character
shyt's funny as hell cause a fully rogue badass character is exactly what we got from the jump with Rey
Dude definitely saw how displeased everyone was with Finn.
I kind of feel bad...white people in these types of institutions are *really good* at pulling this kinda stuff with blacks without them knowing it. Like, I bet they filled his head with all kinds of talk about "how brave Finn will look"...knowing that he was going to play more as a comedic sidekick.
If Finn becomes a full fledged Jedi in the next movie how yall gon feel? Legit question, no sarcasm.
Happy I guess.
That won't be a defense of anything in TFA.
As if we didn't watch Rey and Poe own every scene they were in. Rey went from whooping ass to piloting the falcon to saving Finn from that beast to having the saber talk to her to learning mind tricks and overpowering Kylo to whooping Kylo Renn.
Boring I guess?
As if we didn't watch Luke blow up the Death Star and Anakin win podraces and blow up that Trade Federation ship in their first episode.
I'm not even saying he's wrong, but he must realize his own movie and the whole franchise have set a precedent of building up heroes who do badass shyt in first episodes.
Yeah, I'm actually wondering how he can justify that "boring" talk, when Rey, Poe, Han, and even Kylo are absolutely legit in this movie and he's the only character to take massive L's without any wins.
Got him out here begging and pleading to sucker black folk into going back for episode on 8 on some "they'll do right by him this time, I'm sure of it "
exactly
Yeah I'm not falling for this shyt again.
The movie ends on a pretty sour note for the character.
I think that they are going to de-emphasize him from here on out. He'll get his wins here and there, but the true lead is Rey, and it seems that even Kylo is going to be ahead of Finn in importance from here on out.
How is that copping a plea ?? It's what reasonable fans who weren't pining all of black history hope on him been saying
It's copping a plea because he's *clearly* being defensive over the negative response to his character.
One of my white co-workers finally watched TFA this past weekend and he came to my desk yesterday talking about "Why was the black Stormtrooper a janitor? They had maintenance bots in the early movies I think this movie might be a bit racist"...
The character made a mockery of blacks.
