Real talk if both the Left & The Right complain about "Rising", who is the audience for "Rising"?

Hmm,,,,I'm thinking this is gonna be a flop. But on subscription content creator services like Substack, Patreon, or Locals; you can get away with a much smaller audience than on YouTube if everybody is paying a $5-a-month subscription.
that right wing money dried up :laff:

Its different when you gotta get it out the mud

I haven't followed Rising in months, but surely Krystal and Saagar didn't get fired, right?

They were the only thing of note on The Hill's YouTube channel, so I would think it'd be a contract dispute, if anything.

The comments :wow:

I didn't realize they had that many stans

Why? They have a lot of viewers & subs more than almost any other lefty channel.

But they aren't a lefty channel though

This goes back to my question, who is the audience for "Rising"? Because it ain't a right-wing channel either. Compared to the YouTube shows/podcasts that are co-hosted by Rising's right-wing guests ("Federalist TV" - Emily Jashinsky, "The NatCon Squad" - Rachel Bovard & Emily Jashinsky, "TAC Right Now" -Ryan Girdusky, & etc.) "Rising" is to the left of those shows.

I would say generally it is people who consider themselves on the left. But I really haven't done any thorough analysis either.

Krystal and Saagar position themselves and the show as anti-establishment/elitis and anti MSM. Which is hilarious considering the huge backing The Hill has.

To that point, there are a lot of people on the left and right that consider themselves anti establishment ect. They never offer any solutions, Saagar mostly gets to offer the solution while Krystal just says "well, idk about that, but it's problem!!!"

I never heard of this Vaush dude before. Other than him looking like a troll that lives under a bridge, he was spot on w his criticisms. If all you do is agree on the problem, it doesnt do much. People on the left and right can agree that the political establishment and the weath gap is a huge problem. The left's solution to that is stronger social programs, inject money into areas that need it ect. The right's solution is Trump. Isolationism, nationalism, cut off immigration, provide sercvices only for people who fit a certain social profile.

If we dont agree on the solutions, hammering on the problems to get people worked up, and allowing Saagar to present the solutions is dangerous as fukk.

same audience as the alt-right. this is intended to get very young, relatively broke white and asian men before they formulate stronger political ideals. their impulses based on their economic status make them sympathetic to left economic critique, but their identity as non-black/hispanic make them sympathetic to fascism as well. krystal appeals to their sense of economic insecurity and saager is there for their rage at their decreased social status.

and i say this as somebody who used to like the show.

i doubt any serious media outlet gets startup money without having a target demo. doesnt matter if others watch, you still have a vision for the show you create, and that often includes an audience profile.
