but nobody cared about the U during their heyday? :pacspit:
well I meant they didnt care that much down in Miami, obviously they were a big deal nationally.

But the fanfare/attention/whatever in Miami is not why the football program fell off was my overall point.

he right tho, no EVER cared about the Canes...EVER. by the way, can't wait for that Maryland Terprapins 30 for 30 joint to drop.

Laugh now. Al is gonna build this thing up before the sanctions kick in. You are seeing a lot of freshman on the field, and we are still 4-1. Look out in 2014 b****es.

You Miami bamas have never really cared about the Hurricanes, like they should, even when thehy were the best team in America.

But thats NOT why Miami fell off. They just had bad coaching and recruiting since Butch Davis boucned.

One year after winning a national title, the Orange Bowl still averaging like 30,000 empty seats. :why:

:why:

Breh, they did care down in Miami... it just wasn't reflected as well as it is in places where that's all there is to be concerned about...pretty much every major HS in Miami has had mutliple Canes pass thru there. Northwestern,Carol City,Killian,Coral Gables etc.

take a trip down ocean ave, i bet you'll see that hurricane colored donk :lawd:

the game and "business" of college football has passed them by

did you look at the stands? there was MAYBE 5,000 people at the game today

what recruits would want to play in an empty stadium that's 25 minutes from campus? not to mention the wack ass football facilities they got... that shyt didn't matter back in the day when they were keeping a large majority of the South Florida talent for themselves, but college football is growing as a business at an exponential rate, and UM, as a small private school, just can't keep up

if you're a recruit and were at today's game, and then next week went to Doak, or The Swamp, or The Horseshoe, etc. where an actual college football environment exists... you're telling me you'd commit to The U? fukk no.

the mystique of the glory days are gone, the kids that are being recruited these days were too young to remember when The U was dominant, all they remember is the Kyle Wright/Jacory years... shyt means nothing to them

and to think, they haven't even been hit with sanctions yet :snoop:

they just don't have the alumni base and boosters to keep up with the big dogs of college football... they'll never have the money to sign a premiere coach or coordinator, so why would one go there knowing he'd be at a severe disadvantage in terms of the off campus stadium, facilities, etc.
