Dudes be favoring what works for the MCU over what’s best for essence of the character. I say this a fan of the two MCU spider movies :scust:

Wouldn't you have to favor what works for the MCU, for the MCU iteration of Spiderman?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!???

:mindblown:

If you're saying you would have rather him stay with Sony exclusively that's cool and all..but like I said, they were trying to shoehorn Andrew Garfield's Spiderman into the MCU and got denied because it would have been stupid af. So disregarding what works for the MCU when trying to integrate it's biggest character into it's story line to avoid butt-hurt from a hand full of people makes no sense. Unless Marvel completely botches this next movie (they won't), everything that has taken place so far is going to land Pete exactly where it seems like most people want him to be.

He had to be, to do what was needed to integrate him into the MCU, give me a better storyline that lands him in the middle of Civil War without his little "internship". It was the most logical way to handle things.
No he didn't, they could've had Tony give Peter the suit as a Thank you gift for helping him in Civil War and left it at that. Have Homecoming focus SOLEY on him and Vulture without the Iron Man nonsense with him having to sneak behind Tony's back. After Spider-Man defeats Vulture, Tony is impressed with how Spider-Man carries himself as a hero and him making a name for himself in New York offers him a spot as an Avenger in which Spider-Man turns down. It's that simple.

I understand why adult Spidey is more interesting to some people, but Sony botched it...respect the fukking process.

:birdman:

I hate this argument, it's almost like these nikkas are so used to Sony fukking up shyt and shoe horning stuff in that they don't understand how delicate of a process it was (and still is) to integrate Spiderman into the MCU. shyt they tried their damnedest to get the Garfield version of the character in movies with the Avengers...

:snoop:

The idea that he is to be fully fledged Spidey standing on his own two at this point in the game wouldn't even make sense outside of MCU continuity let alone within it where you have to explain where/why he came from and ends up in the Avengers movie.

A 15 year old being naive, selfish and shirking responsibility of any kind, especially the kind that was left to him is right in line with what an actual 15 year old would do.

Most importantly, it forces him OUT of being Iron Man Jr. with all this dangerous advanced tech of Tony's to make his own more suited for his needs. This is exactly what people bytch about the most yet they don't appreciate the build up to what they say they want.

The reason they didn't 'leave it at that' is because he, as Marvel's biggest character is supposed to take the mantle from Tony as the centerpiece of the MCU. How do you illustrate that if the extent of their relationship is the bold? They took a much less sinister version of their relationship from the civil war comics and made it work within they story line they had going.

You can't be "everyman" and be headlining in the Avengers homie lol, that's the big time. The predicament he's in now does exactly what you want, reduce him from space crusader with connections to someone who is isolated, vulnerable and forced to innovate his own tech. That's what we all want...what I don't get is how people expected him to START there giving the task of bringing him into the MCU. Every "Iron man Jr." argument negates

Man, how is Spider-man supposed to be headlining the Avengers when he only has two movies left in the MCU. Then with COVID happening the movies may not even make the money it could due to low attendance. :stopitslime:

It took FIVE movies for Spider-man to get where he is now nah I don't like that sorry.

You bolded out the "leave at that" part of my response but you overlooked the fact that I also would've had Stark be so impressed with Peter's skill as a hero to the point where he would offer him a spot as an Avenger at the end of the movie which he would turn down (just like in the actual movie). The "leave at that" part was primarily about leaving Iron Man out of the movie's plot and letting Peter himself come into his OWN as a hero and focusing all of his attention on Vulture, Shocker and trying to keep the Alien weapons off of the streets of New York as oppose to him trying to impress Stark. I wasn't saying that Peter/Tony couldn't have a friendship at all. I'm saying that they didn't have to treat him like a freaking child/Iron Boy Jr to get the point across. That's NOT Spider-Man and you know damn well any other non MCU studio wouldn't have gotten away with that shyt.
