Thinking about coming to Atlanta next month for vacation. I'm booking a hotel downtown. Any recommendations when I touch down.

I only mentioned the hotel part because I want to plan everything around the downtown area or closer to that area

As stated, Downtown unless it's fukking Dragon Con is a dope fiend's paradise. That will all change when they overhaul Underground but don't fukk with it now. I'd suggest the Wylie on Ponce. Nice central location and in walking distance to the beltline/Ponce City Market and several other spots.

I don’t think that’s the case at all. I’m a Foundation Member at TGS and know Ryan well…my take just based on what I know and who I know is that because TGS is now owned by Greenwood which is a VC backed financial tech/neo bank, TGS is being scrutinized for its financial & operating structure to make it more efficient & generate more revenue. A lot of times with venture backed startups those founders aren’t always equipped to scale a million dollar business. Sensing that, Greenwood may have come to TK, said aye breh we’re going to reassign you in the organization to a lesser role, TK may have said fukk that and he got fired. I don’t know the exact details yet but that’s what I think may have happened

Yea I received that poorly worded, reactionary email that they sent late at night with no response to a few very important questions:

-Who is the CFO of TGS now that TK has been removed?
-Why is TK no longer CFO? The timing of the announcement of new Greenwood CFO Mike McCloskey & the removal of TK is intentional and deserves more explanation
-What is the new reporting structure of TGS workers? Is it to Ryan W, Mike McCloskey?

This has obviously and clearly been a PR disaster with even the tone of this email (which they posted screenshots of to social media) is confusing, misleading & upsetting to those of us who are members. I’m also irritated that at best TK, co founder, only gets a couple bars. He should be celebrated but because of the pending litigation we already knew that wouldn’t happen. Crazy times man

Parts not white Decatur. I wouldn't be there after dark, just saying, spent three years (04-07) off Ember Drive, sounded like Beirut at night.

Grew up between South Dekalb and McNair middle in the 80s and 90s. Pizza man didn't deliver, ice cream man did 90, down our street, stop signs over on McAfee had bullets holes in them

No new information but a pretty good recap. I’m not ready to cancel at this time, there’s still too many questions to be ready to cancel yet. I’ve known about the lawsuit for the past few months, but they kept the turmoil under wraps until now.

Also, like the article mentioned Ryan W is not going to speak out about the changes so the questions and turmoil will continue until there is either a settlement/resolution.

Also try the Reverb across Mercedes Benz they have a nice rooftop bar and DJ's on the weekend especially when Atlanta United is playing.

If you’re visiting Atlanta and not familiar with the city then staying downtown is a dub, end of story.

Stay around midtown on Peachtree st or west midtown. way better

Yeah he should checkout The Interlock and if he's there stay at the Beltyard

That’s real shyt. They could treat it like Philly and NYC and say there’s basically no more room/infrastructure for future highways to “encourage” public transit but Atlanta would really benefit from something like the LIRR or phillys suburban trains.

But I don’t see that culture catching on.

Tolling all the highways is another option

did you mean to add a link or pic to the post? not sure of your budget. It's not the westside but I've been in mableton since the pandemic and we love the proximity to everything (city, airport, Vinings/Smyrna). The only downside for us is no decent eating establishments within a 10 min drive

You know the city, so you know where you are with that home. Looks like they did a great job with the renovation, just need to pressure wash that driveway and wash/treat that deck lol

But i can only guess that the value will rise in that area. Too close to the city for wypipo not to eventually move to. I love Mableton because i can just hit Bankhead and be in West Midtown or the city in 15 mins
