if I was CEO of Dekalb country I would be tryna get all these folks to open up shop in these strip malls and stuff all on memorial drive.

Definitely moving to the ATL area next year. Prefer to live right outside ATL though. Starting off with an apt, and if we're really feeling it, a house by the end of 2021.
I've looked at Gwinnett and Conyers so far. Any other suggestions on where I should look?

what part of town will your job be in?
gwinnett is more diverse than Conyers, but Gwinnett traffic is insane.
Conyers is still low key on some good ol boy shyt I used to get pulled over every time I went out there to visit my then GF. They’ll prey on dudes who don’t know the law & their rights. They use to make up bullshyt to search my car & it’ll always be 3 cars when they stop you.
it’s getting more diverse out there but I’ll never live out there.
commute is gonna be hell (if you have to drive into the city everyday)

I work remotely so I’ll be moving down with my job for now. But I do want to get into the health field so probably around April I want to put in applications with Grady and Emory and other health related places.
I’m surprised about Conyers because when I was reading up on it, it seemed to be majority black, which is why it was on my list. I prefer to live around a majority of my skin folk.

Yea, I’ll have a car. I looked at Smyrna as well. I’ll take a look at Vinings. I don’t mind living in ATL. Just the kind of houses I’m interested in seem to be on the outskirts.
Go with Gwinnet near Conyers....There is a little area in between in it thats called South Gwinnett....its basically Snellville and Stone Mountain. Plenty of black people, still close enough to where you can get into the retail shops of Lawrenceville which is a straight shot up 124. Its a underrated area

Thanks. I'll add those to the list. We're going down in January for a week to look around a get a feel of some areas, and see how the community and people are, the traffic and what not.
The traffic is still pretty terrible, even with covid, so make sure you’re out and about from 4pm-7pm to get a good feel for it.
