Before I left 3 years ago they were just starting to gentrify the west end and the AUC bc of the new stadium. I’m looking to buy a home around next summer, what areas are going next?

The Atlanta City Council has approved the acquisition of a 216-acre nature preserve in southeast Atlanta. The property includes one of the largest old-growth forests in Atlanta among its more than 60,000 trees.
Informally known as Lake Charlotte Nature Preserve, the land sits near where Moreland Avenue meets I-285. It was at risk for industrial development in an area that is heavy with shipping companies and truck repair shops.
In partnership with the city, two years ago, the Conservation Fund designated the property as a high priority as they worked to identify land that would increase the city’s tree canopy.
The $4.5 million purchase is the Conservation Fund’s largest purchase in the city of Atlanta to preserve green space. The Conservation Fund purchased the land from Waste Management in December.
State agencies were told Friday they should plan on cutting more than $3.5 billion from their budgets in the upcoming fiscal year, a move that could bring furloughs and layoffs among Georgia’s 200,000 teachers and state employees.
With the coronavirus pandemic shutdown and recession hitting state finances hard, Gov. Brian Kemp’s budget office and the leaders of the House and Senate budget committees sent a memo to agencies asking them to develop new spending proposals for fiscal 2021, which begins July 1. The amount they should expect to cut: 14%, no exceptions.
That includes K-12 schools, which would see their state support trimmed, and state colleges. For public schools, state spending cuts could bring higher property taxes in Metro Atlanta to make up at least part of the shortfall.
“The actions we have had to take as a state and as a nation to protect the health of our citizens is significantly impacting our economy and our state revenue,” the memo said. “As you know, we have a strict constitutional mandate to create and adopt a balanced budget for our state.
“Due to the rapidly changing revenue picture for FY 2021, at this time we are asking every state agency to prepare for an FY 2021 budget that includes a 14% reduction from their FY 2020 original base.
“While the Great Recession of 2008 was considered to be a ‘once in a lifetime’ event, our current situation will certainly overshadow it. That is why this request is being made to ALL areas of the state budget with no exceptions.”
The Atlanta City Hall official whom federal prosecutors allege accepted two $10,000 bribes from an airport restaurant concessionaire was a senior procurement manager whose employees oversaw some of the most controversial and lucrative contract awards at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, The Atlanta Journal Constitution has learned.
Prosecutors accused the official of soliciting the bribes after the U.S. Attorney’s federal corruption investigation became public in 2017, and after FBI agents had raided the office of the city’s former Chief Procurement Officer.
Federal authorities do not name the official in legal documents, but the AJC has learned that Mano Smith, a senior procurement manager whose team of eight employees handled airport contracts, was fired by the city on Friday. His team handled airport contracts worth tens of millions of dollars.
I’m staying out on this end for a coupe days. I rode past the restaurant but didn’t pay too much attention to it. I thought there was no dining in? only take out ordersWas on Old National earlier, and the Mexican spot Cozumel was packed. I’m talmbout there wasn’t any parking available at all. I thought these restaurants were supposed to be operating at a reduced capacity?
I had a door dash order the other day at Blu Cantina in Camp Creek, and and saw the same thing
