what city in clayco? And the east side cool mane, the south side crazier.

You really think so breh?
I stay on the southside & the only parts I’ll stay away from during certain hours are Old Nat, Godby Road & some spots in Riverdale

On the east side i won’t go on glenwood, boulder crest, rainbow, Columbia, redan & a few other spots unless I know someone over there

hope they dont have it run by the folks that did Scales 925.

The disconnect for me is that there's no reason for either of them to be talking to any news-anybody about being behind this, especially Tip. The second your name and profile gets hung on a place, every knucklehead and two-faced harlot in a thousand miles is already warming up their fingers to go after it's rep online, and most of them won't even ever eat there. And that's not even including the alphabet people with a grudge who will mess with the place simply because reasons. Provide the capital, stay on your management people constantly in private, let them handle the face time and STFU.

I'll go support it regardless, but damn if these dudes don't like making uphill battles for themselves.

dudes are pandering to peoples emotions. They could have silently reopened and focused on operations and non emotional marketing strategies to make the place go hard, seems like they are taking the cheap way out announcing like this. Emotions aside hopefully they run this well and its not chalked up as one of the numerous failed rapper marketed businesses. Keep in mind businesses fail every day but the using your fame to build hype leaves a different stench if it does fail.

I'm in Riverdale. It's straight. I haven't had any issues. Someone stole a police car on flat shoals at old national today though :mjlol:

I see what you’re saying but I disagree, respectfully. Tip and Killer Mike have both been vocal about their intentions to buy real estate in the Westside and support black businesses on the Westside too. I don’t see a problem with them lending their celebrity and influence to a restaurant that was a staple in the Bankhead community for years (and served damn good fish!)

I don’t think them being private/public investors in this project makes it any harder or easier. But they need to make sure they give the owners/operators all the tools they need to succeed.

BTW, keep in mind that Bankhead is changing. 2030 Bankhead will look nothing like what we see today...I think they understand the opportunity to invest back in their community and that’s it about to change

As a native Atlantan, the most fukkery and trouble I ever got in was on the Southside. Shootouts, home invasions, groupie hoes...and I'm saying Southside from Cleveland Ave to McDonough and all points in between :mjlol: I stay away from the Southside with all my might breh :pachaha:

Any of y’all stay at or near “The Upper Westside”? If so it’s gonna be a big summer for y’all:

Could it be Ponce City Market West? Not quite—at least not yet—but a sizable project on Atlanta’s so-called Upper Westside is planned to echo the adaptive-reuse feel of the Old Fourth Ward behemoth in several ways.

The first phase of Selig Development’s The Works project is transforming 27 acres of an 80-acre site neighboring Topgolf Atlanta. Substantial infrastructure work there is projected to wrap by next month, the company’s senior vice president of development, Malloy Peterson, tells Curbed Atlanta this week

Expect a new grid of streets and sidewalks weaving through a network of decades-old industrial buildings that Selig has owned for about 70 years.

In coming months, despite a wet winter, developers say the property should be abuzz with customers of its existing and incoming retail and restaurant tenants.

How postindustrial redo The Works is coming together on Atlanta’s ‘Upper Westside’
