I can tell you exactly how this dance is going to go. The usual catchphrases will come out: jobs, tax base, tourism, etc etc. What will get glossed over is that none of that money ever benefits the people actually living there, other than politicians who have to be greased. Another thing they'll tout is the location, but let anybody say it should be in Cobb or Alpharetta and see how fast the talk switches up. Take a hard look at the areas around where casinos have sprouted before all over the country. It's an economic desert for miles because everybody around is paying the casino people...and they don't share. It's legit worse than a Walmart setting up.
My personal gut instinct says that this is a pitch for the good ol' boy crowd to build a bulwark against the flood they want to defend against. That kind of play usually backfires...but if Trump has shown people anything, it's that they'll give away the entire state to someone else who looks like them instead of learning to get along with the neighbours who don't.
