I know nothing about Alpharetta other than the shopping plaza/district Avalon

Alpharetta has a lot of money but not a lot of us...if you're tryna get a feel for Atlanta hit 400 S to get into the city and turn up in Buckhead

Hopefully it rises up with black power. If we allow the west end and AUC to Be gentrified we’ll lose the city forever

It's a delicate balance...we have to align strategically with partners who are vested in our community staying mostly black and respecting our institutions. Perfect example: Switchyards is founded by a white man, Michael Tavani, but Killer Mike is a partner for the West End location. Same with the West End Mall redevelopment

Some gentrification is happening and will continue to happen which is ok. We just need City Council to keep the tax rates in tact so we don't price our people out b/c housing values are on the rise over there

Yea mostly all the complexes in east point, college park, Oakland city, Clayton County & DeKalb County

They takin like crazy everywhere else..$1200 for a studio

I live in Fair Oaks/Smyerrita/SmynaMarietta and gotta get the fukk out. Too many Mexicans to be paying $1100 for a townhome.

Looking at Austell/Mableton or even Lithia Springs/Powder Springs.

Ill have to read the article, but it doesnt necessary mean cacs are taking over..for example, parts of Lithonia was made into a new city called Stonecrest, and its still all black. Stonecrest, Georgia | Home



A new city in southern Fulton County was formed called City of South Fulton and its still all black Meet City Council | South Fulton, GA


And just by looking at the map you posted, it'll still be over 96% black..I used to work at a school out there in stone mountain in the map and that shyt was 99.9% black. it also has Rainbow, Glenwood, North and South Hariston, and Columbia in the map. It'll still be us in charge and living there.

I think its a good idea honestly. Unincorporated Decatur is too damn big. Emory and Decatur High School is the real Decatur, and they get all the city of Decatur services. A new city of South DeKalb can have their own police and fire departments, EMS, and public works section so they dont have to depend on the government of DeKalb County.

My only issue is making that entire area one city "Greenhaven". It would be the second biggest city in GA after Atlanta with 300K people, mostly Black indeed like you said.

Honestly, I think Atlanta should annex everything inside 285
