No you can't refute anything I said....I proved my point.

1 - You can't prove why the current economic predicament is worse than the 1930s Europe. You lost that point.
2 - You cannot disprove that Steve Bannon still retains influence in the White House as Trump's Chief of Staff. Example - Muslim Ban. You lost that point.
3 - You can't disprove that nationalists like Nigel Farage has forced another Scottish referendum and have made Sinn Fein strong in Northern Ireland. You lost that point.

:umad:

You can't refute my facts.

1. I never debated 1930s and Now. I was speaking on EU failed economic policies that you praise so dearly. Your argument failed period because you ASSumed too much.

2. Muslim ban, you mean Muslim countries that aren't with Globalism. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman are doing just fine getting into this country.

3. I don't even care about Nigel or his referendum. You made a point about that and I never debated it.

4. Where is your wealth, power and connections Globalist?

It's a coincidence. Those factions of the ruling class are pursuing it for their own material interests. Frankly at this point, it's not like the ruling class is facing a united, focused, militant working class, so the threat of revolution is not strong enough to make the ruling class close ranks on something like this. Many capitalists want protectionism because it is good for their bottom lines and the survival of their businesses and industries.

My original point was that the working class has nothing to gain from xenophobia and closed borders, which is what all this neofascist whining about "globalism" and "globalists" is about.

:rudy:

The working class gains better wages instead of suppressed wages. Word to @theworldismine13 .

The working class benefits from social cohesion that comes with a common language as opposed to a foreign one.

The working also benefits from fewer job competitors.

I don't see what the working classes have to gain, honestly.

"Globalism" is just a dog-whistle for nationalists.

We should all aspire for a peaceful world in which barriers between ideas, cultures, goods and peoples comes down. Why are nationalists so eager to return our world to the 1930s and 40s?
:patrice:

Do you apply the same logic to Nigeria ?

Yep. With the destruction of borders, the capitalist class have an unlimited access to cheap labor.

Marx himself thought that immigration was the reserve army of capital.

Of course. Nigeria's problem is ethno-nationalism, illiberalism, anti-intellectualism and class warfare against the poor.

Nigeria's current elites are basically fascists.

But aren't you advocating the dislocation of Nigeria ?

You can't be a globalist and saying Nigeria is evil.
