His upside is not remotely high

He has average everything
:comeon:
He had 22 total tds, 5 Ints and a dam impressive play off road win in his 1st year with competent coaching.
All of this without a single wideout that would even be considered a 2nd option for most teams
If Neal improves as expected and they get some receiver help he has a chance to be a top 10 qb

If he regresses back to the old DJ they can cut him loose in 2 years

Well worth the risk

It’s a 2 year deal that’s slightly above market value for a slightly above average qb with high upside

nikkas acting purposefully obtuse to get weak jokes off :unimpressed:

Plenty of bread to make additional moves. :takedat:

And shyt, I hope Lamar gets every dollar he deserves…but that has nothing to do with this Daniel Jones situation.

Lamar has been “disrespected” by his own team for a couple years now. You need that agency representation to get these enormous QB contracts signed. They’re not negotiating with his mom. Take that shyt out on the Ravens.

Damn, that contract front loaded as hell. Guess this means they going to extend Barkley as well

Not to mention.. What was the alternative? Franchise him and then have to pay even more next spring? Let him walk and sign Teddy Bridgewater :comeon:

At least 60% of teams would love to ditch their starting QB for an upgrade so if you have one that’s potentially good then you hold on to em

Being “stuck” as a perennial playoff team isn’t so bad..especially in the NFL where anything could happen. You’d rather kick the can down the road every year hoping that a QB becomes available or miraculously hit on one in the draft?

Like the Colts did, went with Philip Rivers, then Carson Wentz, then Matt Ryan and got them nowhere.
